That’s messed up. The guest should have slept on the couch. Why take a kid out of their room for someone they didn’t invite

Mon, 29 Jan 2024 18:22:19 +0000https://boldquestions.wordpress.com/?p=959#comment-81415Hi, I came here because I also have a recurring dream of restroom labyrinths. They are usually very fancy and modern, but most of the doors cannot be opened and the ones that I can open don´t have toilets or doors or water or they´re just showers or cabinets.
My other recurring dream is about tsunamis. I´m terrified of them, they are usually incredible massive waves that make the waves in Interstellar look harmless. I always end up running away and saving myself but unable to save someone else.
Another recurring dream is about not working elevators, they always break in the middle of the ride or they take me to creepy places I didn´t intend to go.
My other recurring dream is about this faceless guy I´m ridiculously in love with and vice versa, but I´ve never met him and have no idea who he is.

Comment on Ten “Oh so clever” questions for Atheists – Part 2 by BoomSlang

Fri, 24 Feb 2023 22:09:04 +0000https://boldquestions.wordpress.com/?p=1660#comment-81031“If it’s a lack of belief sort of atheism what is it? Is it 50/50, 60/40, 75/25, and at what point do you feel disingenuous saying that you merely lack a belief as opposed to leaning towards ‘I believe that God does not exist.’?”
Honestly, what are the ratios for??? And don’t look now, but we’re still waiting on a coherent, non-contradictory definition of a “God,” and until such information is forthcoming, no, I don’t feel the least bit disingenuous taking a “I believe that God does not exist” stance, because it doesn’t conflict one iota with taking an agnostic stance toward God.
IOW, I can be 100% atheist when it comes to a belief in a deity, while being 100% agnostic when it comes to knowledge of a deity. Theists erroneously believe that the two things are mutually exclusive. They aren’t.

Yo. Yeah, been a minute. But nah, for the most part I stopped blogging. Been busy with my band and work that I actually get paid for. Lol I see some intriguing stuff here, tho’, so maybe I’ll weigh in from time to time.

Hadn’t heard from you for a long time! I remember you at ex-christian. Are you blogging anywhere? I’m mostly hanging out in the comments at RolltoDisbelieve these days, and writing a very occasional blog post here when I have the energy.

A typesetter I knew–back when the world had typesetters–once added a label to a meat-packing order. It said, “The pope’s nose. The part of the turkey that went over the fence last.” She assumed someone would laugh and delete it before it went to the printer.
When I saw her, she was the proud owner of 2,000 pope’s nose stick-on labels.

Thu, 21 Jul 2022 20:20:36 +0000https://boldquestions.wordpress.com/?p=788#comment-80798I know the word “apophenia” and use it occasionally. But “patternicity” is more memorable for people who are new to the subject, so I lean toward that one.
I don’t know any other term for flagpole sitting other than stylite, and google isn’t helping. Let me know if you find it.
