Old Is Gold, Gold Old & New New York Stuff Of Life — IMRAN®
One, I've always taken care of my things. Two, over the years I bought enough clothes that nothing ever got worn out. Three, companies really used to make higher‑quality products — especially clothing.
This Tommy Hilfiger jacket is still one of my absolute favorites. Back when TH had bold, unique designs and color combinations. Hard to believe it's from the winter of 1992–1993 bought at Macy's Herald Square in Manhattan.
The Polo Ralph Lauren shirt I'm wearing is also from 1993. In all these decades, it's only lost one tiny collar button… which I still haven't gotten around to replacing.
The plant and decorative planter behind me? From 1995.And me? Well, I'm from three decades before all of those.
Only the iPhone 17 Pro Max is from 2025 — because I still love having the latest tools and gadgets in my hands.
But above everything else, the family, home, and health that God has blessed me with remain the most precious treasures of all.

LIRR Jamaica Station On a Brutally Cold, Windy Day — IMRAN®
I'm sure it would've been far nicer to be on THE island of Jamaica (where I still haven't been!) than at THIS (Long) Island's Jamaica railroad station on a brutally cold, windy day last week. And with temperatures plunging to –14°C / 7°F since then, commuting this week must've been even worse for everyone braving those platforms.

Going For A Spin, Without Getting In A Spin — IMRAN®
Being a New Yorker since the late 1980s, I love the beauty of snow but have always hated driving in it — especially because I've been blessed with rear‑wheel‑drive European high‑performance cars.
Snowy roads, regular high‑speed tyres, and a V12 engine are a white‑knuckle combination on sloping roads. And after spending most of the last dozen years in Florida, driving in snow wasn't even a passing thought.
Over the years I've had several nearly fatal highway incidents. Once, my Benz spun three full times on an interstate in Maryland during a blizzard around 1995-1996 after a careless driver lost control, forcing me to gently swerve — which then sent me sliding across two lanes, barely missing a speeding 18‑wheeler. A miracle.
It's mind-boggling how drivers of AWD vehicles think the laws of physics and loss of friction don't apply to them. In 1997, an oncoming SUV speeding through snow lost control, forcing me to swerve again — and somehow recover without hitting anything.
And then there was the time after the snow had supposedly "gone," when the roads were dry and I let my guard down. Around 1999, I was taking the on‑ramp from Nichols Road in Suffolk County onto the Long Island Expressway service lane.
At the sharpest part of the turn, the "dry" road suddenly revealed a massive slab of snow — almost certainly dropped from the roof of some lazy b*stard who couldn't be bothered to clear their car before leaving home.
One moment I had perfect Pirelli grip on dry asphalt; the next, all four wheels hit that hidden blanket of snow and I was instantly spun. Not through any skill — purely by miracle — I rotated off the ramp and across the two main lanes of the service road without touching a single car, curb, or going over the railing on the elevated section over Nichols Road.
Every one of these moments taught me priceless lessons I keep in mind. And each of them also gets added to my autobiography-in-memory… The Miracles Of My Life.
So even though the SUV in this photo is obviously all‑wheel‑drive — as are many newer vehicles — I still wanted to retain my touch-and-feel for driving in snow. Sunday night was perfect: almost no one on the roads in Eastern Suffolk County near my blessed home.
So I went for a spin… thankfully without getting into a spin.

Life Reflections At Last Sunrise Of 2024, Flying Over Odessa — Tampa To New York - IMRAN®
The final days of 2024 were a blur of miles, moments, memories, and motion. On Christmas Day, I pointed my car south and drove 1,212 miles from my Long Island home to Apollo Beach, with K2 — my loyal German Shepherd co‑pilot — stretched out in the back, watching the world roll by.
Barely a week later, before dawn on December 31, I was back in the air. Delta carried me from Tampa International Airport toward New York's JFK, lifting off just as the last sunrise of the year began to paint the sky.
Somewhere north of Tampa, the last morning's first sunlight broke through the clouds over a region I'd never even heard of: the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park. From above, hidden by an unbroken aerial carpet of cloud cover, it lay tucked between places with names that sound like they were chosen by poets — Odessa, Trinity, River Ridge, Moon Lake.
The under‑appreciated gifts of ubiquitous GPS and internet access, even high in the sky, I thought to myself. A quiet wilderness greeting the final sunrise of a loud, relentless year.
A fleeting moment, a new discovery, and the sky reminding me — again — why I have flown in a window seat all my life since my first flight as a 7‑year‑old in Pakistan. And why I never stop looking out the window at what each new morning, mile, month, and year unfolds in my journey on Earth and through the universe's space and time.
Thank you — again — God Almighty.

Reflected Code Warrior IA Reflecting On CodeWarrior In Era Of AI - IMRAN® (Anwar.rior)
Reflected Code Warrior IA Reflecting On CodeWarrior In Era Of AI - IMRAN® (Anwar.rior)
I'd been waging war on some technical challenges all night while working on an AI cloud‑services programming project. After a shower, I grabbed a random T‑shirt — and was pleasantly surprised to find myself holding a relic from the early days of modern software development.
It instantly made me reflect (literally? 😉) on the journey.
Wearing my vintage CodeWarrior T‑shirt today is a nod to one of the most important developer tools of the classic Mac era.
For my fellow geeks who remember: Metrowerks, founded in 1985 (right after I earned my Electrical Engineering degree in Lahore, Pakistan), built CodeWarrior and later helped Apple navigate some of its most challenging years.
When Apple shifted from the Motorola 68000 CPUs to the new PowerPC chips, CodeWarrior became the development platform — fast, modern, and miles ahead of the older tools.
The first commercial release shipped in 1994, right around the time I was running my tech and media business in Manhattan — while this blessed Long Island home I'm standing in was being built for me.
Time flies. I've crossed the 30‑year mark of living here, and of using a product that shaped an entire generation of Mac developers.
Amazing how a simple T‑shirt can bring back an entire era of innovation, transition, and the scrappy companies that kept the platform alive.
That's AI‑using IA — code warrior Imran Anwar(rior) reflected — reflecting on CodeWarrior.

Thought For Food: Healthy & Actually Tasty Concoction — IMRAN®
Thought For Food: Healthy & Actually Tasty Concoction — IMRAN®
Since childhood I’ve had an unfair reputation for “hating all vegetables.” Sure, I love meats far more than anything else, but I only ever despised a few specific veggies — hardly grounds for a lifelong label.
I never became anyone’s role model for healthy eating, especially as a HappilySingle™ guy with zero patience for real cooking. (If it isn’t grilling or an air fryer, it isn’t happening.) But every now and then I manage to whip up something not quite dude-healthy, but definitely healthier than my usual choices.
Today’s creation: a Caesar salad massively upgraded with chopped red onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, sliced squares of barbecue chicken, cheese, and almonds. Shockingly delicious. And actually filling — none of that “I had a salad an hour ago and now I’m starving again” nonsense. I was out of cashews and raisins, which I usually toss into these mélanges, but this still hit the spot.
What’s your go‑to meal when you’re trying to eat healthy without sacrificing taste?

Introducing "Happy New Year, Same Old Genocide" — IMRAN®
Introducing "Happy New Year, Same Old Genocide" — IMRAN®
While the world was counting down and raising glasses on the night of December 31, 2025, I was occupied with the QUANTUM LAIR creating a different kind of New Year’s message — one that refuses to pretend everything is fine just because a calendar flipped a number, but the world did not turn a page.
So many sing to celebrate fireworks and fresh starts My heart's song is for millions who don’t get either
Few sing songs about shattered bodies, broken hearts The world could speak up, or fight — but does neither
For the people whose midnight brings no relief For the names erased, daily grief beyond belief
Innocent children living — dying — daily in fear Voices the cold world keeps choosing not to hear!
A new year means nothing if we carry the same silence into it. So I created a different kind of Happy New Year song as a reminder — and a refusal. We cannot toast to new beginnings while choosing to look away from ongoing suffering.
If you believe art should confront reality, not escape it… If you believe music can still speak truth when worlds collide and words fail… Then this is the song I made for you.

What a 9‑Year Study Reveals About Food and Brain Aging - IMRAN®
Do you eat a healthy diet? A New York Times newsletter about research done at Rush University in Chicago caught my eye. (Link in comments).
Researchers followed nearly a thousand older adults for nine years and saw a clear pattern: people who regularly ate berries, leafy greens, other vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, fish, poultry, and olive oil — while limiting red meat, butter and margarine, cheese, sweets, and fried foods — experienced a noticeably slower decline in cognitive abilities.
A simple dietary tilt made a measurable difference. What are your healthy food recommendations?

Pinnacle Of Air Travel, Air France Concord At JFK Shortly Before Fatal End Of SuperSonic Era - IMRAN®
Pinnacle Of Air Travel, Air France Concord At JFK Shortly Before Fatal End Of SuperSonic Era - IMRAN®
Twenty‑five years ago, I captured this stunning Air France Concorde at JFK Airport in Queens — the gateway to my forever American hometown, Manhattan, New York. Behind it, you can see the massive construction work that defined that era. JFK’s Terminal 4 was undergoing its full reconstruction from the late 1990s until its opening in 2001, and anyone who drove in and out of the airport during those years remembers the chaos well.
I shot this from a Boeing 747, never imagining how close we were to a turning point in aviation history. Just months later, in July 2000, Air France Flight 4590 suffered the only fatal Concorde accident in the aircraft’s 27‑year service life. The world's only faster—than-sound passenger fleet returned to service briefly in 2001, but by 2003 the supersonic age had come to a quiet close.
I never got the chance to fly on Concorde — a regret that grows every time I look at this photo. It remains a reminder of a time when commercial aviation dared to break the rules of speed, design, and imagination.

Resilient White Rose At Apollo Beach Home On A Friday Morning — IMRAN®
Grateful for the good fortune I’ve had with roses at both my Long Island and Tampa Bay homes. This particular plant has been a lesson in patience — taking more than a decade to push through the tough ground between two driveways in Apollo Beach where I planted it twelve years ago.
Most of the roses from that era shot up to heights between 6 and 12 feet. Another red rose plant across the driveway is now blooming and nearing four feet. And this one, after years of stubbornly staying small and weak, is finally thriving even though just 2–3 feet tall — a quiet but satisfying victory.

Car(s) & Driver: A Legends)ary Connection – Same Porsche Models 31 Years Apart – IMRAN®
Car(s) & Driver: A Legends)ary Connection – Same Porsche Models 31 Years Apart – IMRAN®
These aren’t my cars, but I share an unexpectedly legendary connection to them. Read on, my friends…
I’ve always loved German cars, with Mercedes-Benz being my lifetime choice, followed closely by BMW and others. Porsche cars have long been admired worldwide, but they never quite made it onto my personal wish list. Maybe it was the cramped interior, or perhaps the bug-eyed look of earlier models.
Ferrari, followed by Lamborghini, would be my ultimate objects of desire. Yet in recent years, Porsche’s design language has evolved dramatically, and the newer shapes are undeniably beautiful.
My wonderful neighbor Steve is a true car aficionado, with a collection so extensive I haven’t even seen it all. Yesterday, he had two of his Porsches out. I snapped some photos as he drove one of them. To avoid casting my shadow on the car, I crouched low on the road—but I couldn’t escape the tall palm tree’s shadow stretching across the paint under the setting sun.
These two cars are the same Porsche model, but separated by 31 years of design evolution. Which one would you choose to drive?
The Porsche 911 debuted in 1963, just as I was turning one year old—meaning the car was being created and launched right when I was being born. Two legends, in their own ways, were being shaped at the same time (one only in his own mind, I hear you say!). Over six decades, the 911 has become one of the most iconic sports cars in history, blending timeless design with relentless innovation.
Its fame isn’t limited to the road. The 911 has starred in films like Against All Odds (with its unforgettable street race), Bad Boys (where a black 964 Turbo became a symbol of cool), Atomic Blonde (featuring a 964 Carrera 4), and even a Guards Red cameo in The Martian.
And as a personal homage, I can’t help but think of Robert Redford, an actor I deeply respect. In Spy Game—one of my favorite films—he drove a Porsche 912 that looked nearly identical to the 911. The movie even had scenes set in Pakistan, adding an ironic connection to my own roots. Redford’s understated elegance behind the wheel mirrored the Porsche’s timeless appeal, reinforcing why both man and machine became legends in their own right.
So, what brand, model, or design speaks to you most?

Extra‑Stupid Meta AI Image Suggestion & My Movie Star “Career” — IMRAN®
Extra‑Stupid Meta AI Image Suggestion & My Movie Star “Career” — IMRAN®
I’m all for people posting their fake AI glam shots, and I can appreciate a good stylized meme now and then. But Meta/Facebook shoving these things into my feed nonstop is just… annoying and dumb.
Ironically, the style is called Arcade, and back in those days my cousins, best friends, and I would spend hours st video arcades. I got to play a lot because fortunately those were owned by some friends.
(Sidebar: Another UET student, civil engineer Umar Ashfaq, literally became the father of the video game arcades industry in Pakistan. He started with 3 expensive imported consoles in a shop called Space Invaders in Fortress Stadium and then became the builder and supplier to arcades nationwide!)
For the record, even back when I was offered a Pakistani Lollywood action‑hero role (Qaatil Key Talash) during my engineering‑university days in Lahore in the early 1980s, I didn’t have that much hair. 😂
The screenwriter, Qazi Mushtaq, actually from UET as well, had based the role on my swashbuckling, Yamaha‑Enduro‑riding BMOC persona at the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore.
My father would’ve run me out of town—without my motorcycle—if I’d actually taken the role. Another young man, Babar, ended up doing it and became a big star while I was busy studying and then building my life in the United States.
So now, I guess I’ll just have to wait for Hollywood to discover me. Ideally for a role opposite Charlize Theron. Somehow I doubt this Meta‑generated proposed meme is going to land me anything, even if I “submitted” it to Variety or The Hollywood Reporter asking for their help! 😊

AGENTIC AI: From Automation to Ecosystem Transformation - IMRAN®
AGENTIC AI: From Automation to Ecosystem Transformation - IMRAN®
(Part 1 of a 4-part series to help guide you to maximum success with Agentic AI).
The Opportunity
Imagine this: You used to spend days mapping out every step of a business process—requisition, vendor selection, invoice processing, payment execution. Now, you simply set a goal, and agentic AI orchestrates the workflow, adapting in real time, escalating exceptions, and freeing your team for strategic work. That’s not science fiction; it’s happening right now in boardrooms and server rooms across the globe.
The New Reality: Agentic AI in Action
At AWS re:Invent 2025, the buzz was all about agentic AI. AWS unveiled new partner categories, agent builder tools, and marketplace innovations, all designed to help enterprises deploy autonomous solutions with just a few clicks. Their partnership with OpenAI—a $38B deal—signals a new era of scale and sophistication. Microsoft, meanwhile, is integrating agentic AI into everything from Windows to Azure, positioning Copilot as the productivity engine for the modern enterprise. Google’s Gemini 3 and Vertex AI Agent Builder are pushing boundaries, making it easier than ever to build agentic solutions for any industry.
But it’s not just the tech giants. Enterprises are using agentic AI to automate contract negotiation, create purchase orders, process invoices, and execute payments. The results? Cycle times slashed by 50–70%, up to 80% touchless processing, and teams reallocated to higher-value tasks. In developer workflows, agents scaffold UI flows, adapt component libraries, and even push code fixes based on customer error reports. Prompt-to-prototype cycles now take minutes, not weeks.
Why Partnerships Matter
Here’s something every CIO should know: The winners in agentic AI are building alliances. OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, AWS, Stripe, Shopify, NVIDIA—these are the names shaping the standards, stitching together fragmented tools, and controlling the future of agentic commerce. Ecosystem fragmentation is real, but strategic partnerships are the glue that holds it all together.
The Challenges (and How to Win)
Of course, it’s not all smooth sailing. Data access wars, trust and accuracy in AI recommendations, payment security, and protocol fragmentation are top of mind for every tech leader. Success requires robust governance, compliance oversight, and new roles—AI supervisors, governance leads, and professionals fluent in Python, RPA, ERP, and AI ethics.
The Leader’s Perspective
Having spent exactly 4 decades in enterprise tech, I’ve seen automation evolve from static scripts to dynamic, goal-seeking agents. What separates agentic AI from the client-server and cutting edge cloud platforms I helped build at great companies like Microsoft and Cisco is intent. These agents don’t just follow instructions—they reason, adapt, and collaborate across ecosystems. Early adopters are already reporting 10–25% EBITDA gains, and the momentum is only building.
Ready to Transform?
Agentic AI isn’t just a technology upgrade—it’s a new operating model. If you’re ready to see how agentic AI can stop just automating tasks and start executing goals in your organization, let’s connect for a 1-hour intro brief. My organizations evertrac.co and cloud9global.net are designed to help you navigate this transformation—whether you’re piloting agentic workflows, building developer tools, or reimagining the future with quantum and telematics. Visit my LinkedIn profile https://linkedin.com/in/imran for more insights and message me to schedule a strategy session.
What's Next?
In my next article, I’ll tackle the critical challenge every leader faces: building trust and governance into agentic AI systems. We’ll dive deep into how organizations can ensure reliability, compliance, and observability as they scale autonomous agents—so stay tuned!
