Thanks for pointing out the error. I havent figured the “Fringe Monkey” compliment. Loved the last line here.
Sorry. My bad. I meant my other blog.

Something like a ‘free spirit’
I guess to me the fringe monkey is a free spirit with a higher degree of intellect to bolster that soulful side.
Thanks for stopping by and for your encouraging comments. . .this is a very intriguing blog you have here.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You are a man of many talents.
I have a 17 year old son too! He’s cool, but ornery at times.
I hope you continue to publish your work, both on your blog and elsewhere. To poem is to live.
Thanks for blogging. And thanks for visiting mine and leaving a comment. We have one 17 and one 18, the latter is at UIUC in one of their Engineering programs. Ian is really a great kid. So is Colin.
I’ve already gotten too much into the habit of blogging to stop now. Most of my poetry goes to my other blog these days: https://fringemonkey.wordpress.com

Who’s the Pre-Raphaelite painter and painting of your Nyneve and Merlin poem?
Bob, Thanks for asking: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Burne_Jones “The Beguiling of Merlin” by Edward Burne Jones.
I ran into his work while sloppily researching different periods of art. I found this particular work fascinating and it seeded a sonnet in my mind. Hope you enjoyed both.

My words here will prove that I lived.. ;>
Do I have your permission to use “Silenced by Circumstance” in one of my posts on … Circumstance! …?
Thanks for your cooperation.
Hi,
I have come across you via Ina Schroders-Zeeders and particularly her latest post, “Souvenir”.
I am really interested in what you will do with the stolen bits! I look forward to the post.
Christine
Hi Christine. Thanks for clicking over. Welcome.
That poems is here: https://bitterhermit.wordpress.com/2011/09/30/souvenirs-of-you/
enjoy
I think I said it before, but I say again that you’re definitely on my top ten list of good daily reads. Incredible quality and broadness in your work.
Thanks, Scott. Especially for the ‘broadness’ compliment. I sometimes fear I’m too limited in range or scope. Intellectually, I understand that it’s a silly fear, but there it is. Great to know I’m someone’s top ten list for something good. Enjoy.

Dear David, I was sorry to miss you on Friday night. You left before I got to Gallery ll. Thank you for your poem “Painting the Muse”. I hope you like my interpretation. I look forward to meeting you on Nov. 17th. My husband bought your framed poem. It is beautiful. Thank you for your poetry. I look forward also to reading more of your work. Sheri Ramsey
Sheri,
I’m so looking forward to meeting you as well. I read that poem some time after I submitted it and realized it must be quite a challenge with its contradictions, but I think your interpretation is wonderful! I absolutely adore it. Best in show by my vote. I have to admit, though, that it took me a couple times of studying the picture to see what’s there. I think because I was too close to see the eyes I was looking for. But, yes, I adore it. I think a print with the poem embeded might sell in the right crowd. Thank you for purchasing the framed copy of the poem.
David
David,
I’m very happy you like the painting. It was so fun to paint, using your poem as inspiration. I used one of my photos of a Glenarm sky scene. My daughter posed for the painting too. I love painting her. Another face shares one of “her” eyes and is looking from behind her face. I assumed it was “your” face? I’m glad you saw the eyes. I’ll look into printing the painting with your poem. That’s a great idea which I’ll use for my next show this Jan. with your permission? We’ll talk on the 17th.
Sheri

Wonderful of you. I greatly appreciate this.
David, I would love to reblog one of your pieces… please let me know if that would be alright. Grazie for sharing. Your work is beautiful. Bells xx
Thank you. Yes, I would much appreciate it. Grazie for the compliment.
