For the Love of a Corgi

Life changed. My family is smaller. Its just my Momma, my girl, my boy, and Zach and Baby. We’re in a new house, we nave new cats, and just one horse now. Oh, and that Dad guy is gone! That’s good because I never trusted him. He’s too rough and yelled a lot.

My Mommy’s home!!!  She brushed me last night and loved on me and I got her all dirty but she didn’t care.  I missed my Mommy.  She’s been crying a lot and I just lick her tears and snuggle her harder.  Snuggling her harder makes her stop crying I think.  I missed my Mommy.

I am a little stressed out corgi. Momma and Dad are argueing and so it’s either all quiet or they are growling at each other. I’m so glad today is Monday and Dad went to work so Momma will be her normal calm and happy self. And that I get to be a couch potatoe again.

My Momma didn’t take me to class yesterday.  We go to obedience class on Mondays.  She was inside all day long and laid on the couch.  She said something about a pill but I didn’t see one.  I think she is still not good.  She’s been laying on the couch again today.  I will go kiss her and make it all better.

My Momma has been taking me to obedience classes.  It’s fun – most of the time – but Momma tries to teach me “stand” and I don’t want to.  I’d rather sit and look at her with all my love in my big ol’ corgi heart.  I don’t even get cookies in class!!  WTF?  I get cookies when the kids have class outside in the doggie play yard.  This is not fair.  Doesn’t she know I am the most obedient and loving dog IN THE WORLD???  But, I do get to go bye bye with Momma and she pets me a lot and talks to me a lot.  I did have to ride in the suburban last night, and that was weird.  I am used to loading up in the truck.  It doesn’t have 4 doors.  This “Burban” as Daddy calls it is so strange to me.

I went to start obedience class last night. I thought my Momma was going to be my handler but my girl did it instead. Something about a bladder infection. Anyway, my girl was not very patient. I kept looking at Momma and asking if I really had to sit for this girl, but all Momma could do was laugh. Then after class I got to go meet my new cousin, Sweet Pea. She’s so funny!! And barked and barked. I almost rolled over for her to play with me but changed my mind. Then there were these black big fluffy puppies. They aren’t cousins but they are my friend, Star’s puppies. They all crowded into a corner and I could not tell one from the next! They sure look like fun.

I’ve gotten a lot of house time this weekend. I’ve napped with Momma a few times already. Momma didn’t seem to like it when I laid across her belly, but she petted me anyways.

Dad’s been a GROUCH!!!! He was hollering about dishes and laundry and everything.

What does that have to do with giving me cookies??
