THE MUSINGS OF A MENTALIST

Since coming back from the US last summer where I dined in Texas which inhabits the fattest people in the world, I became accustomed to burgers, milkshakes, hash browns, donuts, cheesecake and anything caloricious and fattening. Therefore, on my return, my lifestyle had to incorporate these filling yummy delights into my British food system. The result, I became motiiiiiiii..well not moti but my stomach stuck out..and its been sticking out for the past couple of months. To add to this, I finally surrendered to Ami’s critical stance on my lazy-dom and began to experiment from recipe books. The downside to this was because I’ve always had a sweet-tooth, I focused on cake-ing and baking- not good not good i say.

As a teeneger I’d never fussed about my weight when nearly everyone around me would watch what they ate and warn me off the consequences of my ‘i’m happy with my body’ attitude. Seriously though, I still find it excruciatingly painful when I watch aunty-jees telling their daughters not to touch the cake coz they’ll pile on the pounds. Uff bas bas..let them eat cake yaar!! Kids are kids only once. Why pile on the pressure when they’re young and naive and no guy really gives a **** about what the weighing scale reads everyday.

Yeah well i was one of those carefree kids and im so happy i ignored my aunty-jees. My dad always told us to eat whatever we liked even though i knew deep-inside my mum would be thinking don’t spoil them rotten…I was spoilt rotten!

Anyhow, I don’t like stomachs sticking out…well I don’t like my stomach sticking out…yet I’m still eating cake. *Big naughty grin*
