At approximately 11:32 a.m. on January 20, Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department (Company 2) and surrounding mutual aid units were dispatched to the 39000 block of Cooney Neck Road for a reported structure fire. Multiple 911 callers indicated a garage fire with flames extending into the attached home.

Firefighters from across Southern Maryland responded to a large two-alarm fire at a local salvage yard on the afternoon of January 17, where more than 100 vehicles were engulfed in flames.

At approximately 6:50 a.m. on January 14, Bay District Volunteer Fire Department’s Station 9 and surrounding EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Chancellors Run Road and FDR Boulevard for a motor vehicle accident involving an unresponsive individual.
