What
The #AttractYoung hackathon begins with inviting young people to share their view on the societal challenges that need to be addressed – or better – solved, by 2025.
The best applicants will be divided into international interdisciplinary teams. Each team will be composed of 5-7 members, bringing in different talents, knowledge, ideas, successes and backgrounds.
During the two-day hackathon teams will get support from carefully selected coaches and the group of detector experts.
Prizes
Up to 10 #AttractYoung participants selected by the Panel will be awarded a 5-day visit to CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) / ESRF (European Synchrotron Radiation Facility) to further brainstorm on their ideas. All expenses paid.

Fee
Good news: there is no registration fee for the #AttractYoung hackathon!
Travel and Accommodation
30 participants (chosen among the early birds submitters selected for #AttractYoung will get their accommodation costs covered!
You’ll only have to bear your own travel costs.
Food and Drink
No need to worry! We’ll take care about the coffee breaks, snacks, lunch buffets and the Thursday social dinner.
