Comment on redwoods by M. D. Vaden Portland Tree

Since the blog is business oriented, I couldn’t get all fanboyish in that, but she really is fantastic. She’s played a similar role for me too – I’ve been listening to her music for a very long time, and I think she has done a remarkable job of continuing to grow and try new things while continuing to be great.
Thanks for that Muses clip from ’91 – it’s a good one!

Comment on in which I ruminate about art by LK

Sat, 19 Sep 2009 20:40:41 +0000https://aocab.wordpress.com/?p=259#comment-27Sophia,
I was skimming through your posts and noticed a passage about Ramachandran and the inherent structures for art-recognition in our brain. I must say, Neuroesthetics is currently one of my biggest passions, which often sends me on numerous poorly-defined, but highly electrifying exploratory projects. I’m currently in Berlin, getting my master’s in Medical Neurosciences. Needless to say, I was overjoyed to learn that Dr. Semir Zeki, the so-called father of Neuroesthetics (check out his page https://neuroesthetics.org/index.php) will be speaking in Berlin at the end of November. I certainly look forward to attending and sharing my impressions with you. He participates in numerous events and exhibitions in the US and Europe, so you probably can catch one of his talks in NYC or CA.
Let me know what you think,
L.

y’know, I’m not sure which Honey Cone song you’re referring to. The Honey Cone is great, but there is no way you could possibly be right!
