I bought these AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely loves them! The sound quality is excellent, the noise cancellation works really well, and the transparency mode is a great feature for everyday use. After losing the left earbud of my second-generation AirPods, which were already on their way out after 4+ years, I decided to invest in these new ones. Despite searching for my old one for hours, I couldn’t find the dead earbud even with the Find My app on my phone. One of the standout features of this version is the ability to ping each earbud individually, as well as the case and the batteries last at least 5 hours on one charge. While I hope to never need to use the Find My feature, I’m comforted by the knowledge that I can if necessary.

I’ve been a fan of Apple’s AirPods since their release. Although they’re pricier, the quality and design are worth every penny. I’ve fully embraced the Apple ecosystem, and everything is seamlessly integrated.

Upgrading to these AirPods adds incredible features. The noise cancellation is a hidden gem, a hallmark of Apple’s innovation and well worth the additional $40. I can toggle it on or off, or switch to adaptive mode, which automatically turns it off during conversations. Transparency mode lets me hear both my music and my surroundings, making them ideal for biking and listening to traffic.

These AirPods are easy to control and charge quickly on my Anker charger. They maintain a full charge for hours, even after watching TV and listening to music all day. A quick half-hour charge keeps them powered for another few hours.

Another new perk is the live translation feature, which is currently in beta testing. This will be very handy whenever I’m in Miami and interacting with my Spanish-speaking friends.

Overall, these AirPods are worth the investment. I highly recommend getting a pair.

This is the first apple product I have ever owned. As a long time android user, I was worried that my experience would be sub-par when trying to use an Apple product with a Pixel. They don't work as seamlessly as they likely do on iPhone, but they do still work. That being said, I have some difficulty pausing and unpausing my music with the earphone, and turning the noise cancellation feature on and off requires holding one earbud for a few seconds. It would be easier for me to do that on my phone, but it's not possible with my Pixel.

I primarily purchased these to use the active noise cancellation while mowing my lawn. I absolutely cannot stand the rubber earplug type headphones, and previously used a pair of Sennheiser over-the-ear headphones with active noise cancelling to mow my lawn. Those are the gold-standard, but they're very hot to wear in the summer, and the sweat becomes irritating. They also tend to slip off your head when you hit a branch, or bend over. I replaced those with Pixel Bud Pro's. Those sounded great, but the rubber earplug design really irritates my ears, and they are "outside heavy" because of the large bubble that sits outside of your ear. That means they constantly slip out and require adjustment. The sound quality and volume level of these is lower than both my Sennheiser and my pixel bud pro's, which both have more bass and higher clarity. That being said, these are MUCH more comfortable for me and didn't require as much re-adjusting as I mowed my lawn. The active noise cancellation works very well, but not as well as either my Sennheiser or my Pixel Buds. I was able to listen to my podcasts at a reasonable volume while still mowing my lawn, but it did leak more lawnmower sound than either of my other options. As far as using these as hearing protection with my backpack leaf blower, unfortunately these are absolutely no match for that sound.

One option that's on the Pixel Bud Pro that I miss on these, is the "transparency" option. Pixel Bud Pro's have 3 operating modes. 'Normal' mode, which operates just like any other 'normal' headphone. 'Active Cancellation Mode' which performs the active noise cancellation, and 'Transparency mode' which actually amplifies external frequencies consistent with human voice which makes it easier to have a conversation without removing your earbuds. That missing feature isn't a deal-killer, but it does mean that I have to remove these earbuds when someone wants to talk to me.

Overall, even though I'm a Pixel user, knowing what I now know about AirPods 4 and Pixel Buds pro, I can say I prefer the AirPods 4. They're much more comfortable, and the active cancellation is adequate.

I’m very happy with these AirPods 4! The sound quality is amazing, with clear audio, deep bass, and excellent noise cancellation. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and connect to my iPhone instantly. The battery life is great, and the charging case is compact and convenient to carry everywhere.

The pink silicone case shown in my photo was purchased separately. It fits perfectly, adds extra protection against scratches and drops, and the carabiner makes it easy to attach to my bag or keys.

Overall, the AirPods perform exceptionally well, and the separate case is a great accessory to keep them protected while adding a personal touch. Highly recommended!

I bought these on sale, so I feel like I got a heck of a deal. They pair seamlessly to my iPhone and iPad, obviously. I use these mostly for phone calls for work and listening to moves as I run on the treadmill.

For phone calls, they do a great job of blocking out background noise so I can hear while also isolating my voice so others can hear me. My office is a bit noisy and I haven’t had any complaints about excess noise on my end.

For running on the treadmill… These block out the treadmill noise almost completely. I’m impressed. I watch movies on my iPad while I run (I run a lot) and there’s nothing I had more than the drone of the treadmill. They MOSTLY stay in place, but I’m not too embarrassed to admit I’m a sweaty person. Sometimes I need to take one out and wipe it off to stop them from draining sweat into my ear. It stops the movie while I do, but it starts again as soon as I put them back in. I don’t have any issues with them falling out completely, but sometimes it feels like they shift when I sweat a lot and I need to adjust them.

Side note: I have never had an issue with AirPods malfunctioning from sweat. These are no different. I’ve run over 1500 miles with these and they are still working flawlessly.

Where do I begin? Six months ago i purchased the more expensive Apple AirPod Pro 4 after using Bose ear buds since they first made them, early 2000s. I liked the AirPod Pro 4, but i could not keep the darn things in my ears, especially in my left ear. They come with the tips in several sizes. It took me a week to find which tip was the most effective at keeping in my ear. That was a headache. Still they occasionally fell out when i was in the grocery store, etc. Light duty stuff. Okay, with some behavior modification, never bending over, never sweating, or never really moving, they would stay in my ears. Maybe. So hectic 4th of July weekend i jump in the car, as i reach to put the car in drive the right one fell out of my ear. Hit my shoulder and tumbled, landing on the little rubber part of the emergency brake where it attaches to the car. I held my breath as i reached for it as it sat right in the middle of rubber slit. If i touched too hard it might separate the slit & fall into the car. Softly i tried to lift it off the rubber. It slipped between the slit and i heard it hit the metal bottom of the car. I grabbed my flashlight, separated the slit and saw it sitting about 8-9” lower on the bottom of the car. I tried for several hours to snag that thing but i could not get it. So, i ordered these because they were less expensive. Period. Like my AP4 the sound was exceptional. It was much easier to set up than the AP4. I live in my AirPods. I wear them gardening, shopping, in the car, mowing the lawn, cleaning the house. I do not leave my house until they’re in my ears. I love the noise canceling feature, but also wear them without music if I’m in public & I don't want to chat with people. But the thing i love the most…they fit right in my ears and stay there. They don’t feel like they’re about to fall out. These do not have the rubber tips, but they fit, i can bend over, i can move. Now I have only had them a couple days so I gave them a 4 because i never write a review for anything electronic until i’ve used it quite a bit, so after a few months i will update and if everything works out i will upgrade it. A few more things about these that i like when you tap them to turn on the music, it comes on instantly, i think Apple refers to that as the buttons. Response time is much quicker to turn on and off. There is not a pause like the 4. It has a crisper sound than the 4. My 4s would occasionally lose connectivity, but these do not. Sometimes it pays to buy the less expensive item, especially if you get it on Amazon Prime Day. Also, this set comes in a smaller case than 4 so it’s prone to slide right out of your hand. I have a small hand & this thing is hard to hang onto. I ordered a strong case to slip this case into in a bright color so its easier to find in my handbag and to make it more durable. Glad i found these.

fancy, fits the ear comfortably, wireless, you can enable/disable noise cancellation at will... BUT... they have the same sound quality as the $20 wired earbuds! They sound exactly the same! I was expecting the same flawless sound quality from the wired earbuds when they first hit the market at $50 per! Back then the sound quality was amazing! noise cancellation i am surprised to say does NOT make the music sound any better. If you use these to watch movies or listen to people talk then the sound quality is irrelevant and gets the job done. I bought these for sound quality thinking they would be better than my wired pair that finally broke after a few years. $150 vs $20 and the sound quality is the same is a major L for me. sound quality is the first flaw..

The second flaw?... No charger or charging cords included. $150 just turned into close to $300 bucks! I am at close to or over $275... I don't care for wireless. i am use to wired. I don't need noise cancelling technology but I thought at $150 the sound quality must be top of the line! I repeat these $150 wireless earbuds sound exactly like the $20 wired earbuds. Sure the $20 wired earbuds feel like all around cheap dollar store plastic while the $150 feel like solid fancy plastic but that is NOT what i was banking on. I rolled the dice and lost with these. They ARE fancy and will give them that. They may even prove to be better in my home gym. who knows.
