This phone is amazing! It has 100% battery and with only three cycles! I was able to transfer my data with no issues since it was unlocked. The appearance was practically brand new! I love the color of the phone and it works much faster than my other phone.

I wanted to love this thing. A renewed iPhone 16e at a discount felt like a smart move, modern iOS, A18 chip, USB-C, IP68, the whole package. I talked myself into it. Then I actually used it.

The performance is genuinely good. The A18 is fast, apps snap open, and Apple Intelligence works as advertised. Battery life impressed me more than I expected, easily a full day and then some with room to spare. The 6.1-inch OLED display looks great indoors.

The camera is where things got real. One lens. Just one. No ultrawide, no macro, no nothing extra. At this price point, even budget Android phones ship with three cameras. Apple made a deliberate choice here and buyers should understand what they are signing up for before clicking add to cart.

The design quirks pile up fast. No MagSafe (just standard slow wireless charging), no Dynamic Island, a 60Hz display, and a notch that looks lifted straight from an iPhone 14. The phone also arrived eSIM only, which tripped me up during setup if your carrier or workflow is not ready for that.

Cosmetically, the renewed unit was clean and showed no real wear, so no complaints there. The Amazon Renewed program handled the process fine.

Ultimately I returned it. Not because it is a bad phone, but because the gap between what this costs and what you actually get compared to a used iPhone 16 is just not wide enough to justify the trade-offs. I purchased from Gadget Deals for $668.74 CAD and I could not be happier! The phone I received is basically brand new, with its first usage in December 2025! (Only 3 months ago?!)

Retail price for this model on the Apple website is $899 CAD, so I saved over $200!

It arrived with 100% battery health, no Parts and Service History, the original braided USB-C to USB-C Apple charger, charging cycle count of 0, and it’s completely clean and dust free.

Phone came unlocked and fully compatible with Public Mobile eSIM. This is my first eSIM only phone and it was easy to install after setup, and took less than 5 minutes!

All I can say about this iPhone that deviated from a brand new one from Apple would be:

that it didn’t come in the original Apple packaging (I wasn’t expecting it to), it had some light surface level scratches on the screen (which completely disappeared after my glass screen protector was installed), and when I turned it on for the first time it was ~50% charged.

I am beyond pleased with this renewed phone! Completely satisfied with my purchase and the seller I purchased from.

Guys, it was not clear in the description, I know it says excellent but mine came more than excellent. It looks like a new screen and new battery, it says 100% health and 0 cycles. If you are thinking about it, just do it. And it's minimalistic as I wanted. I was doubting between this and the 15 pro, you all know the big debate on social media, but I went for this newer processor and definitely am not regretting it. Great battery, good performance, and it does the job. I am not a content creator or photographer, but the camera does the job well. Also, it's under Apple warranty for 1 year with Apple.
