Best stylus for iPad, love the wireless charging!
Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2026The Apple Pencil 2nd Generation is an absolute game-changer for iPad users. The magnetic attachment and wireless charging are incredibly convenient — no more fumbling with adapters. It pairs instantly and the pressure sensitivity feels incredibly natural for drawing, note-taking, and sketching. The double-tap gesture to switch tools is a brilliant feature that saves so much time. Highly recommend it to any iPad owner!

Great for Pilots
Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2026The Apple Pencil 2nd Gen is super smooth and responsive, making it great for writing, drawing, or editing. It connects instantly and charges just by attaching magnetically to the iPad, which is really convenient. The double-tap feature is a nice touch for switching tools quickly. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality and performance make it worth it. I’m personally a pilot and this is a MUST

Best Pencil!
Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2026Using for 4yrs, just started having issues, will have to order replacement. Glad it's still sold, but disappointed at how much the price has increased since then, over $40. Great pencil however, perfect precision, tilt recognition, and charges SUPER FAST! I absolutely LOVE this pencil, it's fantastic.

The Apple Pencil: An Artistic Companion with a Dash of Quirkiness!
Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2023Greetings, dear creative souls and doodling enthusiasts! Today, I have the pleasure of sharing with you the magical wonders of the Apple Pencil. Buckle up, folks, because we're about to embark on a whimsical journey through the realms of digital artistry!
Picture this: You've got your shiny new iPad, and you're itching to let your imagination run wild. But oh, what's this? The Apple Pencil emerges from its sleek case like a wizard's wand, ready to bring your artistic visions to life. It's like having a paintbrush that never runs out of paint or a pencil that never needs sharpening—pure artistic bliss!
Now, let's talk about the actual feel of the Apple Pencil in your hand. It's lightweight, just like a gentle breeze tickling your fingertips. Its sleek design makes you feel like a modern-day Picasso, armed with the tools of the digital age. The pencil glides smoothly across the screen, allowing your strokes to flow like a river of creativity. It's as if the pencil itself is whispering, "Go forth and create, my friend!"
But here's where the Apple Pencil truly shines: its ability to mimic traditional art supplies. With its pressure sensitivity, you can vary the thickness and opacity of your strokes, just like you would with a good old-fashioned pencil or brush. The Apple Pencil dances to the rhythm of your hand, capturing every delicate nuance and bold stroke with astonishing precision. It's like having an art studio in the palm of your hand!
Oh, and let's not forget about the magical "double-tap" feature. It's like a secret handshake between you and your digital canvas. A simple tap, and boom! You can switch between tools like a wizard flipping through a spellbook. It's so intuitive and convenient that you'll find yourself grinning like a mischievous Cheshire cat with every tap.
Now, my dear friends, let's embrace the whimsical side of the Apple Pencil. Sometimes, it likes to play tricks on you. You put it down for a second, and suddenly, it disappears into the vast abyss of your art supplies. But fear not, for the Apple Pencil has a hidden talent—it's magnetic! It loves clinging to the side of your iPad, defying gravity and providing a sense of wonderment. It's like having a pet that occasionally goes on its own adventures, only to return when you least expect it.
In conclusion, the Apple Pencil is not just a stylus—it's a gateway to a world of infinite creative possibilities. With its smooth flow, pressure sensitivity, and whimsical personality, it's the perfect artistic companion for those who dare to dream. So, grab your iPad, unleash your imagination, and let the Apple Pencil be your guide on this marvelous journey of digital artistry. Embrace the quirks, the magic, and the undeniable charm of the Apple Pencil. Happy creating, my fellow artists!

Nice tool
Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2026This is a very handy tool to have. It works well and is great for taking notes, drawing, and other uses on an iPad.
Do be aware that you should charge it soon after receiving it. If you let it sit in the box too long, it may not charge properly. I had one that sat too long and would no longer charge, but when I bought another and charged it right away, it worked perfectly.
Just be sure to take it out, connect it to your iPad, and get it charged shortly after you receive it. Don’t wait too long.

Purchased used from whatever Amazon calls their used marketplace now
Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2025The pencil is fine and working well. The thing to know about purchasing a used Apple Pencil is that it will most likely be at 0% charge level when you receive it –as opposed to a new one that will have at or close to 100% charge. That's because Apple charges and then sets a clever little circuit in their pencils to 'off' before shipping. The pencil is only ever turned 'on' the first time it is attached to an iPad. The pencil is 'on' for ever more until it dies (hence the 0% charge from sitting on a shelf.) This both makes for a nice initial experience with the pencil, and it avoids the ever so slight degradation of the battery in the pencil that occurs every time the battery is drained below about 20% charge.
Remember that all items with sealed in/non-replaceable batteries have a limited life span. Leaving a pencil attached to an iPad and never using it won't circumvent this. In fact, the top roughly 20% charging (ie. 80-100%) is detrimental to battery life similar to the bottom 20% (ie. 0-20%.) That's why Apple in recent years has moved to programming their phones, watches, ... so that they will learn a user's charging+use patterns to minimize battery degradation from over/under charging. Too bad Apple Pencils don't have the energy budget+processing capacity to include similar technology. (And yes, most of the bad reputation about Apple has acquired about battery life/performance turns out to be just FUD when objectively investigated. It usually turns out that Apple put a lot of effort into improving battery life/performance (they like to have higher numbers to brag about –as well as delighting their users.) Even the best efforts will run afoul of some people's imagined IDEAL behavior.
