Proving your patriotism by hating the people the government tells you to hate.
Proving your patriotism by hating the people or things you are instructed to hate by demagogues, arbiters of social or moral issues, or politicians inside of or outside of the current government administration.
A term best applied to right-wing fearmongers who claim anything non-white and non-Christian to be evil. It’s also the force behind such measures as the Patriot Act, the Defense of Marriage Act, and the War on “Terror”.
The propaganda of hate disguised as patriotism in order to achieve vested personal or collective goals.
Opposite of patriotism. Overzealous hatred/embarressment of ones country or government.
