Join us in celebrating Audre Lorde’s 92nd birthday: a gathering honoring her life, legacy, and radical vision.
This gathering invites QTBIPOC to come together through creativity and connection, featuring a Freedom Zine workshop, speed friending, and guided spaces to reflect on safety, resistance, and liberation. Enjoy individual healing sessions including reiki, acupuncture, and massage, and contribute to a community altar in Audre’s honor by bringing an offering.
We put together a comprehensive list of food distributions, programs, and resources across all five boroughs, along with a printable PDF you can share within your community.
Please remember to call ahead to confirm hours, as schedules can change.
The Audre Lorde Project sends condolences to the family and friends of Sam Nordquist. Sam, a 24-year-old Black Trans Man from Minnesota, was tortured and killed in upstate NY. Sam and all the lives of our TGNC people are sacred. All of the Trans People of Color that we’ve lost to violence across New York deserve justice and to have their lives honored through radical, concrete change.
With our housing in the LGBTSTGNC community being so unstable - we are offering this list of resources that can provide you with knowledge and information about how to protect yourself in a housing crisis.
