Hello all friends out there in bloggyland,
Welcome to my blog.
I’m the Alienhippy and my blog is…
“A place where I can be me!”
I write about my journey through life, the ups and the downs. I love painting, writing poetry and sharing what I live.
I am an adult with Aspergers Syndrome/Dyslexia and mild ADHD. I lived unaware of this until my daughter started school and problems she experienced were memories of my childhood.
My daughter has a diagnosis of Aspergers/Dyspraxia and sensory Integration Dysfunction. Also my Dad is now diagnosed with Autism…so I think I can quite happily sit somewhere in the middle of the huge spectrum we call ASD. I say happily because for the first time in my life things are now making sense. The pieces of the jig-saw are starting to come together.
Welcome to my planet……it’s so good to have you visit.
Love and hugs. xx 🙂
Please leave me comments, I LOVE getting comments. 🙂
No one has a plan to what we’re doing here, I dont think! I love your blog. x
Thank you for your comment surrealchick, and thank you for visiting my blog. x
No one has a plan? Damn! In that case, WHAT do we do . . . and WHY? (I’ll check back often for suggestions 😉 Meantime, keep it up alienhippy . . . you too, surrealchick . . . it’s a pleasure to see and read you here.
“No one has a plan? Damn! In that case, WHAT do we do”
This is a test; life is only a test. If this had been a real life, you would have been given instructions on where to go and what to do.
(If this doesn’t translate well to other countries, here in the U.S., we periodically have tests of the emergency broadcast system on our televisions. There is a tone, and then an announcer says, “This is a test of the emergency broadcasting system. If this had been a real emergency, you would have been given instruction on where to go and what to do.”)
I LOVE this blog 🙂
It’s so different to anything else that I have read!
AWESOME!
Wow…hey there my lovely Fi, there you are WAY back in JUNE.
I just updated my about page now that *CAL has her diagnosis.
I also am claiming “self-diagnosis,” as I am now VERY VERY sure I am Aspie.
It did read un-diagnosed before, I think you can vouch for me with this….giggle
Love you and everything about you.
Leesy. xxxx 🙂
I like your blog. It is a collection of many good thoughts. And the images are fun. 🙂
Thank you WWM,
I’m so sorry I didn’t see this and reply sooner.
Love and hugs my friend.
Lisa. xx 🙂
Thank you so much for supporting me!! I hope I can do the same for you….anytime!!
In the meantime – I look forward to reading about your adventures!!
Beautiful artistic soul that are, thanks for this poetic self disclosure on the net. I tried blogging earlier this year but my emotional pen ran dry after a dear friend’s tragedy. Your brave visual and literary march through life’s joys and sorrows makes me want to write again.
Peace ~ Bflygirl
Thank you for your lovely comment. God Bless, love and hugs. x

Wotcher Alienhippy (I already have a blogfriend AlienBaby. Funny, that)! Bounced here from Where the Butterflies Go, and I love your happy blog and LOVE your art (especially ‘Lost in Paint’ I think it was called) and your little dogs’ faces … and … and … 😀
We seem to have this n that in common, though I’ve only had a speedy root-around. (Btw where you say ‘undiagnosed’, I’m sure you could say ‘self-diagnosed’.) Now I’m off to grab that RSS feed; good to meet you! 🙂
Hi!

Maybe your blogging wasn’t an accident — Maybe it was part of God’s plan for you all along!! I’m happy to have found your website (and it seems a lot of other folks are, too)! I look forward to following your inspirational journey. God bless! =)
Hello Little Things of Life,
Yep….you got it, it was definitely a God-incident.

My Grandson was diagnosed with ADHD, and that was when his father realized he had the same thing. Isn’t it great that there are so many ways for humanity to learn and communicate and that these are now being identified!
I suppose these are called learning disabilities, but in many cases they are paired with other remarkable abilities!
Hi Margie,
What you said is SO true, it’s wonderful seeing how there are so many parents helping there ASD kids to thrive. I have found some fantastic blogs of parents supporting their children to learn in different ways. Ways that their kids have a natural ability or talent with. It encourages me so much and as I read these blogs I am reminded of my childhood. I can express now through writing, poetry, art and music. I really feel that even though I have struggled throughout my life to feel part of anything, now I can help, by voicing what it is like to live in the spectrum.
I’m so glad I found your blog, I love your photos.
Look forward to getting to know you.
Love and hugs.
Lisa. xx 🙂
Hi there – I popped over from slpmartin’s blog 🙂 My son has ASD, and comes from a long line of aspies on my hubbies side (grandfather, great-grandfather – probably a few aunts and uncles 😉 ) I will have a look around your blog.
Hi Gabrielle, thanks for popping by.
I’m so sorry I didn’t answer this sooner I completely missed it.
Love and hugs. xx 🙂
Hi Alienhippy thank you for visiting my Blog, I’m not sure how you found it but I apreciated very much your honesty and willingness to share deeper feelings, I also have Dyslexia.and for many years was upset about it but now I give thanks for the gifts the Lord has given me through it, we are indeed very unique as you shared.
I would love to hear some of your poetry, my e-mail address is on my About.
Christian Love Anne.
Hi Freedomborn,
I loved looking at the images on your blog, your layout is so much easier for me to read.
I guess that is the dyslexia in us both…I just thought I was stupid until I was 36.
Then EVERYTHING changed.
I have a poetry tab on this blog but I also have a blog for my creativity.
My other blog is called “Listening through the Loops”
Here is the link… https://leesyloops.wordpress.com/
I share poetry that comes from being still and listening.
Also art and stories….all things that help me to be who I am created to be.
Love and hugs.
Lisa. xx 🙂
Thank you Alienhippy for the link, I hope to spend some time getting to know you through your poetry, as you may or may not know, I also write poetry but can only do so when I’m lead by The Holy Spirit as with most of my writing, still I’m a cracked vessel and make mistakes, spelling, grammar, punctuation etc. Animation is very big in Australia and I use it a lot, most people respond to it although not all, I was asking Jesus did they have any form of it in the Bible times and He assured me they did as I read the Scriptures, He used the Parables which were word pictures and brought God’s Truth to life and He used everyday things too such a coin, bread and wine, grape vines, mud, pearls, even writing in the sand etc there are many more. Animation puts words into a recognizable and understandable form as does all Art, a gift from God if used properly.
I will be in touch soon – Christian Love Anne
Hi Lisa. I don’t believe God sits up in Heaven picking people off, but I know that He allows things to come into our lives, and uses them to make us and mold us into people He can use to accomplish His will, and to love and help others. I have a lot of admiration and respect for you simply because you made the choice to be positive, and to use your experiences in a way to uplift people around you. So glad you visited my site, and I got a chance to meet you. 🙂
Awe, that is the cutest “about” I have read in quite some time! And paired with that fun pic, how can anyone not adore you? 😉
Nice to “meet” you alienhippy!
This looks like a really neat outlet for you. I enjoyed reading some of your posts! 🙂
Glad to have found your blog. My niece was diagnosed only last year with Aspergers. For years the doctors were saying all kinds of other things including ADHD and dyslexia. To have a diagnosis that actually fit has been a blessing. She’s just turned 20. I’ve referred her mom to your site and will refer my niece as well. Your optimism is a must and I’m sure comes from your faith.
Hi! Your blog is really interesting, I enjoyed looking through some of the entries. Looking forward to reading more 🙂
As an Alien myself, I just wanted to check on who an alienhippy would be! 🙂
