I am currently employed as an Associate Professor at Halmstad University in Sweden. During the last three years, I have
also been working as a visiting scholar in AI-teams in different companies such as Volvo Group Trucks Technology and Zenseact AB in Sweden. Before
moving to Sweden, I spent 3 years as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
in the H2T group of Prof. Dr. Tamim Asfour. I received my Ph.D. at the University of Göttingen,
where I further stayed as a postdoctoral researcher for
2.5 years in the Computer Vision and Robotics group of Prof. Dr. Florentin Wörgötter.
I have been actively working on creating the semantic representation of visual experiences
to achieve a better environment and action understanding for
autonomous systems such as robots and unmanned vehicles.
