Akarsh Prabhakara
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin - Madison since 2025. I am also affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
My research interests broadly lie in wireless systems and cyber-physical systems. I lead the MachW Lab with the agenda to build wireless powered systems that perceive the world and communicate with high fidelity unlocking new application potentials.
Research Overview
We are building systems along the following themes:
- Learning driven radio frequency perception
- Wireless + robotics
- New wireless communication paradigms
- Ubiquitous wireless sensing
