It really makes me laugh when you take scripture and change the word money for Lemon Cookies.
“For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with ‘Lemon Cookies’ from a foreigner—those who are not your offspring.” – Gen 17:12
“If he does not provide her with these three things, she is to go free, without any payment of ‘Lemon Cookies’.” – Exo 21:11
“But if a priest buys a slave with ‘Lemon Cookies’, or if a slave is born in his household, that slave may eat his food.” – Lev 22:11

Tue, 10 Mar 2009 20:25:00 +0000https://ag3ntsmith.wordpress.com/?p=59#comment-11That is kinda funny since Christ Jesus in the new testament says in Matthew
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.”
and in Luke 11:42 it says
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.”
You see even the Pharisees Tithed, they even Tithed their garden Herbs, so if you want your righteousness to surpass the Pharisees give to G-D what is G-D’s and to Caesar what is Caesar’s.

Comment on Memorizing Scripture by teresa

Wed, 17 Sep 2008 05:09:39 +0000https://ag3ntsmith.wordpress.com/?p=26#comment-10i guess i never thought of it as a repetitious learning style, but that is a process that works for me. something i don’t need a lot of repetition to learn is music. i can catch onto a song with a fair amount of ease. however, performing is just memorization put into action. actors and musicians have to utilize memorization to perform. maybe it’s that type of repetitive learning process that drew me to those two areas of interest.

Tue, 02 Sep 2008 19:03:22 +0000https://ag3ntsmith.wordpress.com/?p=26#comment-9Interesting… So does learning things through repetition work for other things for you as well?
Have you learned anything essential or beneficial without memorizing?
Memorizing scripture never seemed to work that well for me. That’s why I’m asking. 🙂

Sat, 16 Aug 2008 20:30:43 +0000https://ag3ntsmith.wordpress.com/?p=24#comment-6For your own sanity?! just concentrate on your part, your heart. its obvious you already see an error in their ways in relation to what God has called you to be. they have their own questions to answer for, and i stick by my first statement… pray them out of it.
to give them 30 seconds of grace? it may be their calling (or less spiritual, just thier responsibility) to worry about the money. have you ever had people working for you? if you’re a good boss you feel responsible for them… always. and its great to speak of spirtual truths but if my responsibility is to help you keep your family fed? that also is very weighty. they may have a role that was thrust on them and they have no clue how to do it properly… so back to praying for thme again!! they truly may be clueless!!
last consideration? many times God makes US responsible for things by bringing it to our attention… you may be concerned because its your job to help! how? that’s between you and God.

Sun, 10 Aug 2008 13:40:58 +0000https://ag3ntsmith.wordpress.com/?p=24#comment-5Perhaps the questions are a bit vague, but it’s difficult to give examples of this.
I don’t mean “should we judge their hearts?”. What I mean is, if they work for a church or a ministry, and they seem to be more worried about money, what can we as Christians do about it? Or is this just a matter of changing what we focus on and leaving it up to God?
