Aditya Gangrade

Hi!

I’m a research scientist at the ECE department at Boston University. You can send me an email at adityagangrade92@gmail.com

I am broadly interested in theoretical and methodological aspects of machine learning and statistics, with an emphasis on reliability, safety, and efficiency. Recently I have been thinking about safety and reliability in sequential decision making, and about in-context learning phenomena in transformers.

Here is a CV summarizing my background, and you can find most of my papers here.

Miscellaneous

I spent half a year as a postdoc in the EECS department at the University of Michigan, advised by Clay Scott. Before that, I spent a year as a postdoc at the Statistics department at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was advised by Aaditya Ramdas, and Alessandro Rinaldo. Before that, I spent a few years studying Systems Engineering at Boston University, advised by Bobak Nazer, and by Venkatesh Saligrama.

Long ago I studied at IIT Bombay, where I learned to love whisky, cancer-sticks, and Iggy Pop.

I even have a face, and can sometimes access a razor.
