Our understanding is almost always vindicated because, unlike those who have incentive to delude themselves when the system is benefiting them at others’ expense, our survival or success has always depended on seeing things the way they are.

Since this post was written, Alex Pretti was also shot in Minnesota. The aftermath reminds me so much of the unjustified shooting of black people by law enforcement. We have seen the fictional official narratives contradicted by video evidence, and the demonization of the deceased by both officials and their cheerleaders.

To be Negro-ized is to be other-ized but what many chose not to realize is that you don’t have to be a Negro to be other-ized. Being Black is the parameter, the dimension of discrimination in a particular & lengthy manifestation of Euro-totalitarianism (and who would dispute that enslaved black people were under totalitarian rule). But groups can be branded the “other” or the “enemy within” for other reasons; reasons which “justify” the exsanguination of their humanity and for which skin color offers no salvation.

But credit to the system for inculcating so much prejudice in so many [ ]s that they’re unlikely to seriously consider what we say! Kamala was called a liar and alarmist for pointing out what was written in the current administration’s own policy bible. Even now elements of the press are shamefully playing dumb, claiming that “no-one could have seen this coming”! A self-blind people.

Also part of the police “lack of accountability” playbook. An off-duty agent feels free to murder a Black person with total impunity…and gets away with it.

The shooting of R. Good was a Negro Wake-Up Call for millions of Euro-Americans. With her death, they realized this regime has Negro-ized them.

They too can be killed by state violence workers and blamed for their own murder, even with video evidence to the contrary.

This rant speaks to some of the White supremacist arrogance and lack of awareness I’ve encountered over the years.

I wonder if the Black people he claimed to “help” thought his words and actions were help or hindrance?

I recently read Waking Up White by Debby Irving where she describes her own attitudes and actions toward Black people that she thought were “helpful” at the time.

Irving takes the reader through her own misconceptions about White helpfulness that were stripped away through deliberate study and listening to Black people.

Listening and empathy eventually led to greater self-awareness for Irving, but it was a process.

Irving realized Black people considered White help unnecessary. Black people were more interested in removing White hinderances in their lives like social, political and economic policies that disadvantage Black peoples lives on a on a structural level.

Scott Adams expected Black gratitude for his “White help” with no listening, empathy or self-awareness.

He showed who he truly was all along. A bigot with a “White Savior” complex.

I worked in so many mindless offices and have always considered myself a part of nerd culture since my days ad the only Black girl in the Dungeons & Dragons Club back in 7th grade.

When Adams came out with his statements, I was very confused and hurt.

How could he not understand the direct correlation between mindless office culture and white supremacy?

Anyhow, thanks for the last. Too bad he became the asshole he said he despised or at least mocked.

I stopped blogging ages ago due to having two younger children in my 40s! I never stopped writing, but moving mostly to FB. I even ran a fairly successful Twitter space for awhile until the Elon takeover. I may reboot my old space yet.

Age of consent in Virginia at the time was 16. The age one could marry was 18 .

One could also marry at age 13 with parental /guardian /judge’s consent…. I know this because my neighbor was married off at that age when she was orphaned (both her parents died.) Her aunt (legal guardian) found a man to marry her niece and the court/judge granted permission due to the hardship situation.

They remained married until death parted them.
