I don’t know whether you’ve seen this message yet:
It’s been almost a week and neither of my attempts has shown up. The comment in question was about Janet McIntosh and contained two links.
If you find both attempts, please ok one and delete the other.

Your latests posts are an interesting assortment of “500 words a day on whatever I want”.
Still good reading. 👍🏼

Thank you for your encouraging words.
Stage #5 – “now you can move beyond race” – I have not yet hit it the second time. I am still in stage #4.

]]>I spent some time over the past few weeks reading selected posts from your blog. This morning I clicked on the 2010 “Why I Write About Racism” post. Your description of Dr. Beverly Tatum’s five-stage cycle of growing up Black in America made me think about how long you have been on the “racism beat”.
Writing about White supremacy, racist ideology and anti-Blackness can be exhausting. Especially when you delve deep into the subject matter—-which you have done for more than a decade. Even writing (only!) 500 words means you had to research, read, compile and condense reams of source material.
Abagond, have you reached another stage five (internalization-commitment)? Are you ready to move onto other subjects? If you are, I want to convey this to you:
I’m glad I followed links years ago and came across your blog. I’ve experienced several rounds of the five stages. Reading deep into your “back catalog”, commenting and interacting with other fellow travelers has been quite an education for me. Thank you for facilitating that process.
Because of my own interests, I’m in perpetual stage 3 immersion mode. My most surprising discovery is the fact that the rationale and methods of White supremacy has remained constant for over 345 years, as has Black resistance.
No matter your next direction, I want to express my appreciation for the body of work you have produced. Your work has been most illuminating.
Thank you, Abagond.
