How we formed.

On September 11, 2011, the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Saint Mary High School Class of ‘81 chose to establish the John Griffin 9/11 Foundation to honor the memory of their fallen classmate, “Griff”.

The mission of our Foundation is to award tuition assistance to a currently enrolled Saint Mary High School student whose family is unable to meet tuition costs due to extenuating circumstances. Criteria for eligibility is set by the Foundation Committee in conjunction with the SMHS Principal. The amount distributed is contingent upon the success of our benchmark fundraiser, “Griff Rocks On.” We invite you to join us, be a sponsor or make a donation. To date, the foundation has awarded $65,752.78 to over 25 families. With your help, we plan to award a great deal more!
