Catchin' Up!

I will have you to know that I protested my exile from the CB, profusely. Quite profusely.

Every chance I got. I told that human exactly what I thought of her.

Maybe that had something to do with it.

I don't know.

You don't think I took it too far do you?

Here's some of the other stuff that I didn't get to share with you-

Mr. Siskin came to visit for a spell. And was very kind to pose for a photo.

A couple of young Go-Finches stopped by to chat; they were really noisy.

HGL was in fevver hevven.

The humans went to the medieval faire and lookit what they saw,

a real live wolfie. Humom said he was really nice and well behaved even though there was like a bazillion people and their woofies there. The pic is from last year 'cause they didn't get to go this year on account of how busy they were with all the new puppies we had. I'll have my assistant sort all of those photos and post them later on.

The irises were pretty.

They were even better this year, but Humom was too busy to take a picture; her MIL loves to see pics of the flowers. Their spot in the flower bed is very well protected from the weather and the irises think it is spring all the time. They look like they could jump into action at the least bit of warm weather. I'll show you them soon; along with our new birdbath.

Now, we'll jump to fall.

Summer was all about the yappers.

I bet that little lizard would be fun to chase.You can fnd these little guys on the Comanche National Grasslands. Humom goes there a couple of times a year. She also tries to fit in a trip to her ancestral homelands. They've been to Palo Duro Canyon in the past and they went to Caprock Canyon last year. Next is a trip to the Alibates Flint Quarry.

Even though it was November it was about 75 degrees that day.

Can you believe how blue the sky is there?

It's true what they say about those west Texas skies.

My Perch

Puck, Lucky, and I like to hang out in the living room and watch some Bird TV and wait for mice.

Lucky likes to birdwatch out of the picture window that is in my last post.

It's a big window; 7 feet high and goes almost all the way to the floor.

In the evenings I sit on my perch.

I hang out with Humom and the woofies.

Tonite we watched rodeo and had some turkey. It was OK; I wanted HAM.

They thought it was wonderful, but they think everything is wonderful and edible.

. That's Humom with little momma SuzyQ, her puppy Dinky (who's bigger than her), and the black blurs are Hersa (pronounced ursa) and her brother Pal.

We're even doin' this entire post (pictures and all) from the sofa on the little 'puter.

Gotta go; I've been holdin' out for stinky goodness all nite and it's time to eat.

What A Busy Weekend!

After the mousie incident, the house had to be inspected and after it was deemed free of mice; there was much cleanin' to be done. Puck and I helped with the dustin'.

Then Humom let me go onto the porch to Hunt...

I contemplated where to hunt first...

This is where I hunted. Most of the stuff here is freebie stuff that the Humans find when they go huntin'. The blue chair thingies were not free. They are a pair of seats from the Old Mile High Stadium. The dresser in the back is where I focused my attention. The mousie scent was strongest there.

I looked in the drawer...

I thought I heard a noise over there...

I went back to hunt in the drawer...

All I found was a mess. A mess of sunflower seed shells. Some mouse has been very busy.

After I went in, Humom continued the Hunt. This is what she found...

After a day of vigorous huntin'; I needed a much deserved snuggle.

Thankful Thursday!

We have something to be thankful for.

We didn't get poked yesterday.

The humans went huntin' and then Humom got busy doin' this.

But I heard that we are gettin' our pokies today instead; bummer.

Guess what Puck did?

He caught a mousie.

No photos though, he gots it while our Humom was in the bath.

He left it outside the door for her but the Human tooked it away ; he didn't think it would be good to leave there, in the dark. He doesn't understand protocol.

Here's the lowdown on the mousie.

It snuck in late Monday nite while everyone was sleeepin'

Except for Human.

Puck found out it was in the dining room on Tuesday

and pretty much camped out there until he gotted it on Wednesday nite.

UPDATE TIME!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes. But it wasn't my birthday, it was my gotcha day instead.
But it was a good day, we got stinky gooodnesss. It gets made extra special now with DE (diatomaceous earth) added (for parasite control).

Lookit Punkin here with T1

Punkin is doing real good since he was diagnosed as diabetic last year. He gots his own room and litterbox and special food and gets stuck twice a day with a needle. As a bonus we don't get the bitey put on us anymore by him. That's a win-win for all of us.

Luna's last picture

On a sad note we had to help our sissyfur Luna cross the bridge this past July. She got the dreaded cancer and went to join the Great Romeo on the other side. Don't be sad, she didn't suffer. Our humans didn't wait too long after this was taken, to take her, they didn't want her to have any bad days. They would rather themselves have many bad days than see one of us have one bad day.

On the plus side-I am no longer plus size. I have lost weight and am now within normal limits for a cat my size. Here is a shot of me and my girl Sooner doing our favorite activity-birdwatchin'.
More good news-
No more miserable car rides as the Humom gives us our annual pokes here at home. Which are coming up on Wednesday. Not good news-

Don't mind the date, that's what the camera does when you put new batteries in and don't set the date. This is Mr.Go-Finch; him and his family come to visit us during the winter months. They just showed up last week but we haven't got their picture yet.

I'M BACK!!!!

Yeah, That's right.

I, Petronious The Arbiter, am officially back; to claim my rightful place as the head bloggin' cat of this here insane asylum.

First off, I have to give a tremendous amount of grief to the Humom who wouldn't let me onto the computer. But I was super sneaky and I prevailed in ascertaining the multiple passwords that are needed to get online.

Second, I will spend these cold evenings visiting everycat's blog catchin' up on all that I missed out on (Thanks Humom). Then I will update you on all the insanity that you missed out on.

Finally

It's spring here. It's been cold and icky forever. But it hasn't been all bad. Humom's irises bloomed last month. They are just outside of our bathroom window, that has been open every chance we get. These are tall bearded irises, we've had them for 2 years now and they were over 3 feet tall and both stalks had 5 blooms on them. No idea what variety, but we enjoyed them anyways.

Here is a picture of the newest puppies. They were born April 25th, momma SuzyQ had to have a C-section, because they all have daddy Diego's big apple head. All 3 are fat and healthy and will be making their appearance really soon.

This is SuzyQ's momma, Baby. She is gonna have her next litter in a few weeks and she is already huge. Last time she had 7 and the time before that was 8. She took a few years off from puppying and this will also be a Darling Diego litter (he's been a busy little fella, this will be his 3rd litter this year).

Here I am sitting on the filing cabinets with HGL. If you biggify and look to the right you can see where Happy-Go-Pukey saved some of breakfast for later. Can we all say EEWWW!!

Perhaps the walking garbage disposer, HockeyPuck, will come along and finish it. Gotta go; my typist is being summoned by a squawker.

Saturday With Sooner...

...And love is in the air. While my mancat, Petey, is resting up I'll be taking over the posting for him. But first, I must profess My Love to My Valentine. You can see in my eyes the intensity of my adoration for him. And I know that he feels the same way towards me too.

There is no shortage of potential beaus in this house.

But Petey, is the one for me.

I give to you, the first flower of spring.

Happy Valentines Day to every cat and human. May you all spend the day with the one that you love.

In The Pink

I bet you thought that this was gonna be a Valentine's Day post.
Well, it's not. It was gonna be about my pink eye and green sneezies. But I got distracted by the go-finches.

But, while we was bird watchin' this mornin', we saw one of Puck's relatives huntin' so we zoomed in on him to see what he was a huntin'. He's that black spot between the tree stump and window feeder; just above Lucky's right ear (HP is doin' the swattin' and HGL is nappin', I'm on the right).

There he is 'bout to pounce.

He pounced himself a slinky snake (it looks like he's jus' holdin' the grass but we looked with spyglasses and see'd it was a snaky). We know from personal 'sperience ('cause we had one as a pet-its a lined snake, they eat earthworms) that those are some of the most interestin' toys there is.

We watched him play "Snaky" for a long time. He tossed it all around and rolled around in the grass with it and everything. Looked like lots of fun.

Then he gave himself a bath and took a nap.

Okay, now back to me. I got the green sneezies (again) and I got pink eye as a bonus this time (must've sneezed green goo into my eye). So on top of my time in the torture chamber I get eye drops twice a day for a week. Thankfully, I didn't have to go to the V.E.T. and get stabbed.

What the F***! Wednesday

Just after dinner last night I heard all of this commotion and everyone runnin' all 'round like chickens with their heads cut off. Up and down the hall from the livin' room to the bedroom and back again and that's just the humans, the yappers were really makin' a fuss too.

So, about an hour later, after the din had died down. I went into the human's room and lookit what I found there.
Seems like Jez has gone and done it again. 3 new little squakers-2 girls and a boy.

You may now all go, "AAWWW....ain't they precious".

Well, I can say from experience, that they don't stay that way for long.
Before you know it they're all over the place. Tryin' to play with your tail and yappin' and takin' up all of my Humom's time. Time that could be spent answerin' to my every whim.
Let's hope that phase doesn't last too long either and that they all go to their forever homes real, real soon and take some of the others with them.

Tummy Tuesday Vol.4

Tummy Tuesday has gone to the dogs. Litterally (spelling is correct). We are about to be overrun by those little yappers again. Guess what, we're gonna have another
