I've finally done what I've been promising/threatening for the last year: my new food blog is now up and running! While this is something I'm very excited about, it's also bittersweet as the beginning of that blog signifies the end of this one. However, I'm not 100% ready to give up this space, so I'm putting 10eleven on temporary hiatus. I may move from hiatus to permanent closure mode in a month or I may come running back to here, desperate for a space to express my feelings in a not-so-public (i.e. not tied to my real name) forum. I just know that I'm ready for something new. I need to move away from complaining about everything in my life - this blog has become a real downer over the last two years. Plus, I want to focus my writing a bit more; seeing as I'm constantly trying new restaurants and recipes, along with attending various cooking classes and foodie-themed events, what better thing to write about than food?

For those of you who are my friends on facebook, you can get the new blog information from there (I sent an invite to all of my bloggy peeps earlier today). For those of you who are not my friends on FB, please leave a comment with your email or shoot me an email (comebacknikkiATgmail.com) if you want to follow me over to the new blog (or connect with me on FB). Of course, I want every one of you to come with me, as I love the little blogging community I've been a part of for the last seven years!

Whether or not I will actively post over here again remains to be seen, but if I do decide to close up shop, I'll be back to say good-bye. In the meantime, I'll just say farewell for now... I'll see you over in foodieland! :-)
