Compare Provider Ratings
User ratings are a great way to compare VoIP service providers that are on your short list or just ones that you may not have considered yet. Here at WhichVoIP we have received thousands of user submitted reviews. Just like any new purchase it is always recommended to analyze these before making a final decision. But trying to wade through thousands and thousands of reviews and ratings can be a daunting and time consuming task. This is why we created a couple of rating comparison tools to help solve those problems.
This page includes two different tools for comparing user submitted ratings for multiple providers side by side, one that shows average ratings of multiple providers in a graphical view and one that shows rating comparisons in a table format.
To help with comparing ratings of like providers we have split this page into two sections, one for Business phone service providers, and one for Residential phone service providers. You can simply scroll down the page to view the two sections or use the buttons below to go directly to the section of interest.

To help you compare user ratings of multiple providers at a time we offer the following two tools. Click on the links below to navigate to your tool of choice or try both by scrolling down.

Graphical Comparison Tool
The following plot provides a visual summary of average user ratings versus the total number of user submitted ratings for many popular residential providers listed on WhichVoIP. The user selectable options below allow you to customize your comparison. Choose different providers to view and which user rating to display. Graph Comparison Tool Tips
This tool was created to help you quickly and visually compare some of the more popular providers in our listings and their user ratings. When a user submits a review they select their rating of various aspects of their phone service, such as sound quality, reliability, customer service etc. You can select which rating you want to be displayed on the graph. See below for more useful tips:
- The horizontal axis indicates the total number of submitted ratings for a provider and the vertical axis indicates average user rating.
- Select each rated aspect of the user reviews to display in step 1 above so you get a good overview of each selected provider.
- Select or deselect which providers you want to be displayed using the checkboxes in step 2 above.
- Look for providers with a rating of at least OK and above, as well as a good sample size of ratings.
- If you dont see your provider of interest visit our Residential Providers section to view more.

Our ratings form asks the user to rate various aspects of their providers service based on their experience. This comparison tool allows you to quickly view the average of these user ratings for multiple providers in one simple graphical display. Having a visual summary of users ratings to compare can be useful and time saving. Use these tips to make the most of this tool:
- The vertical axis indicates user average rating and the horizontal axis indicates the number of user submitted ratings.
- Use the pull-down in option 1 to select which rated aspect to be displayed (overall, sound, reliability, etc.).
- Use the check-boxes in option 2 to select which providers to be displayed. The display will update following each selection.
- Consider both sample size and ratings when comparing providers. A larger sample size typically indicates more robust results.
