ISSUE-89: Unicode Normalization of CSS user-defined identifiers
Unicode Normalization of CSS user-defined identifiers
- State:
- RAISED
- Product:
- Raised by:
- Elika Etemad
- Opened on:
- 2009-02-06
- Description:
- Also affects css3-page, css2.1 (counters), css3-content.
Proposal: CSS-internal user-defined identifiers such as namespace prefixes, counter names, and page names must be normalized to NFC on parsing
Rationale: This solves the i18n usability problem, shouldn't cause any performance difficulties, and affects parts of CSS that are unlikely to cause problems at markup or JavaScript interfaces in the vast majority of cases. - Related Actions Items:
