Meeting with the CNPD
Shuhei Ohshima, Commissioner for International Cooperation of the PPC, visited the Comissão Nacional de Protecção de Dados (CNPD), and had an exchange of views with President Filipa Calvão on May 23, 2017.
Commissioner Ohshima provided an explanation about the outline of the amended Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the PPC’s latest efforts on international cooperation and other related activities.
The CNPD interlocutors covered a range of issues including an outline of the organization and enforcement cooperation with data protection organizations in the EU and in Ibero-American countries.
The PPC and the CNPD have agreed to continue dialogues and make efforts to establish cooperative relationships in the future.
