Meeting with the AEPD
Shuhei Ohshima, Commissioner for International Cooperation of the PPC, visited the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) and had an exchange of views with Director Mar España Martí on May 22, 2017.
Commissioner Ohshima provided an explanation about the outline of the amended Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the PPC’s latest efforts on international cooperation and other related activities.
The AEPD interlocutors covered a range of issues including action for the domestic law revision in association with full implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The PPC and the AEPD have agreed to continue dialogues and make efforts to establish cooperative relationships in the future.
