- On the eve of the widespread adoption of Route Origin Authorizations (ROAs) by the majority of IPv4 routes in the global routing table, Doug Madory of Kentik and Job Snijders of Fastly wrote a blog post about rejecting RPKI-invalid routes by using Route Origin Validation. The RouteViews repository was cited as a valuable resource.
- University of Guam confirmed as a participant in the MANRS initiative to improve global routing infrastructure and security. News release: "UOG participates in a global initiative to strengthen routing security."

NSRC is partially sponsored by the International Research Network Connections (IRNC) program in the National Science Foundation's Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (OAC) via NSF grant award# 2029309.

June 8-12, 2024: Manila, Philippines
Philip Smith of NSRC served as keynote speaker, talking about the Internet evolution from a technical perspective in the Philippines, and presented on RouteViews during the PhNOG 2024 event.
June 24-28, 2024: Guam
NSRC Trainers Philip Smith and Jose Santiago, alongside Jeremy Santos of PTI Pacifica, taught a Routing Infrastructure and Security Operations workshop as part of PacNOG33 in Guam.
May 26-29, 2024: Bangkok, Thailand
Philip Smith, Tashi Phuntsho and Jose Santiago (NSRC) taught a Routing Infrastructure & Security Operations Workshop at the annual BKNIX Peering Forum with additional instructors Thanapat Masnitas and Kittinan Sriprasert (BKNIX) and Viraphan Samadi (AIT).
March 16-22, 2024: Brisbane, Australia
Hans Kuhn assisted in building and operating the conference network for IETF 119 Brisbane at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
Feb 20-24, 2024: Bangkok, Thailand
Hervey Allen, Brian Candler, Bob Rotsted and Carlos Armas taught a Practical Virtualisation workshop at the APRICOT 2024 Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
NSRC Upcoming!
From August 17-21 NSRC will coordinate and run workshops as part of the 12th Bhutan Network Operators Group meeting. Workshops include BGP Deployment and Operations, Campus Network Design, and Practical Virtualisation with Hybrid Strategies. NSRC staff and coordinators will also participate in the SANOG 43 meeting from August 22-23. These events will all take place in Thimphu, Bhutan.
