support for readdir in microperl

hi,
     I have to run perl on my ATMEL AT91SAM9260(arm926ej-s) embedded
platform since the exiftool is dependent on the perl library.
I have successfully compiled microperl for my platform,since the full
version of perl is big in size for the emebedded platform.
But microperl has certain limitations like it doesn't support
functions like readdir etc..
Is there any possibility that i can make microperl support these
functions....????
Please let me know what are the other functions that microperl doesn't
support from the full version perl ???
