What’s expected of you as a DigitalOcean Community Chapter Leader?
A DO Chapter Leader acts in some ways as an extension of DigitalOcean and is key to growing an engaged and active regional community. Some of your responsibilities as a Chapter Leader include:
Acting as the main point of contact for your chapter members.
Using the designated event platform for all activities and promotion.
Determining topics, recruiting speakers, and finding venues (if applicable) for your events.
Hosting at least four events per year (one per quarter), either virtually, in-person, or a mix of both. You can host more frequently if that’s what’s right for your group!
Staying in contact with DigitalOcean for feedback and insights.
How to become a DigitalOcean Community Chapter Leader
All you need to do to become a DigitalOcean Chapter Leader is fill out the application form! It's simple and will only take a few moments. After that, DigitalOcean will review and follow up with you ASAP.
