Cart total with discount rule ignores extra product option

When adding an extra product option for a simple product, which adds an amount to the regular price, that new total/price is ignored when the discount rule is applied.

Example on the website:

1. Regular price is 2 euros
2. Click the checkbox will add 20 cents to the product price

This works when no discount rule is applied. When ordering 25+ items a discount rule is applied. For instance for 100 items the regular price is 1.85 euros instead of 2 euros. The discount rule will apply to the regular price of 2 euros instead of the new price which is 2,20 euros. So it ignores the extra product option.

I tried 2 plugins (simple product options (active) and the payed plugin Extra Product options by ThemeComplete). Both work until a discount rule is applied.

I experimented with each of the Plugin Conflict option but with no success.
