We value transparency.
Whether it is the development of Wikipedia articles or the strategic decisions made by the Wikimedia Foundation, our processes are open and well-documented so anyone, anywhere, can have access to them. As part of that promise, we provide transparent and timely information on our financials, content takedown requests, strategic direction, grantmaking, and more.
Annual reports
Our annual report looks back on a year in the life of the Wikimedia Foundation. It celebrates our global community and major milestones, while highlighting how we uphold our financial obligations.

Our biannual transparency reports bring attention to some of the requests we receive to alter or remove content from Wikimedia projects or to disclose nonpublic user information.

Financial reports
As a nonprofit organization, we are funded mostly by the generosity of individual donors through small donations. All information on our funding and how we manage our resources can be found in our financial reports.
Annual plan
Ahead of each fiscal year, we work with our volunteer community to develop an annual plan where we outline our goals for the coming year and strategies for achieving them.
