Andrew has nearly 20 years of high tech product and business leadership
experience, with direct P&L; ownership of more than $2.5 billion, representing tens
of millions of customers in both B2B and consumer environments. He has led product
management, UX, software development and market development teams across three
continents and eight countries at top-tier companies such as Avid and Autodesk. His
career portfolio includes driving business performance for some of the world's most
recognizable product lines, such as AutoCAD, Pro Tools and the RealD ZScreen.
Andrew holds a degree in critical reasoning from Humboldt State University.
Dave Sherfesee
Vice President, Strategic Infrastructure
Dave joined Alexa Engineering in 2000 and has spearheaded the design
and development of distributed systems such as the Wayback Machine. Prior to his
current position, Dave was Chief Revenue Officer, Vice President of Engineering,
and Director of Crawl Engineering. Dave holds a B.S. in Physics from Louisiana State
University. He was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship to attend
the University of California at Berkeley, where he received his M.A. in Astrophysics.
Dave also has an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Ron has over twenty years of experience in technical leadership roles. He began his career developing software but found himself also configuring systems and networks while working at Georgetown Medical Center and has since embraced
IT/Operations. At Alexa, Ron has designed and supported complex distributed systems that require automation, scalability, monitoring, and configuration management. He currently manages both the Operations and QA teams. Ron is passionate about
continuous improvement and integrating systems thinking and principles of sustainability into all aspects of his life. Ron holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio Graduate School, an MA in Demography from Georgetown University
and a BA in Computer Science from University of Delaware.
Steve joined Alexa as a Data Mining Engineer in 2005. Prior to assuming his present
role, he performed engineering duties for and was the technical lead on a variety of Alexa products.
Steve received a B.S. in physics and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of California, Irvine,
and his M.A. and Ph.D in astronomy from the University of California, Berkeley. Steve currently resides
in Oakland, CA, where he enjoys scuba diving, rock and roll, and the pursuit of various adventures.
