On this page, we intend to list resources we have found for formal training classes related to IPv6. In particular, we are looking to list training courseware, online training, training classes or events that may be available for free usage.

IPv6 Training from Nonprofit Organizations
The following training programs are offered by nonprofit organizations. There is often a fee involved but some organizations do offer some free training as well.
- Regional Internet Registries – typically available on site in countries serviced by the RIR and also sometimes via webinars
Commercial Training
We are currently evaluating how we best address listing commercial IPv6 course offerings, of which there are many.
- Boson.com put together a series of IPv6 tutorial blog posts that may be of interest. (We are listing them here as they are a commercial provider of training, although these posts are free to view.)
Courseware
We have also already received requests from universities/colleges who are seeking IPv6 modules that they can include in courses. If you are aware of up-to-date courseware that we could help promote, please do let us know. Thank you.

DePaul University offers a 10-week online course in IPv6, including multiple Cisco configuration labs. The online format provides universal accessibility. I haven’t seen other programs like this yet from the college/university community.

AFRINIC has an extensive 50% hands on IPv6 training program which we teach in various countries in Africa — free of charge. Check learn.afrinic.net regularly to see if your country is on the training schedule for this year.
Thanks Mukon for sharing those slides! Someone asked me to explain IPv6 to non IT people…I think this document will help me in that task.
