Since 2006 Outbrain has been developing a content discovery platform, guided by a single mission: to help people discover content that they can trust to be interesting, relevant and timely. Today our recommendations reach hundreds of millions of users across a global list of premium media properties.
A small team within Outbrain R&D is looking for an organized, experienced front end developer to help us continue building and simplifying the experience across our platform. You will be responsible for transforming wireframes and mocked ideas into working products using the latest front end technologies. We're looking for creative developers who love to solve problems and want to help us build the future of content on the web for devices large and small.
Responsibilities
- Visualize and develop front-end web pages using semantic HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Solve technical issues and test accordingly
- Work closely with Product and UI/UX teams to create Outbrain’s look and feel with design-oriented, pixel-perfect development.
- Optimize and refactor codebase according to industry best practices
- Participation in all aspects of the product development cycle
Qualifications
- 5+ years of front-end development experience
- Up-to-date, in-depth knowledge and proven development experience of modern HTML, Javascript and CSS
- Experience integrating with APIs
- Photoshop & Illustrator a plus
- Experience with agile, test-driven software development and continuous integration – advantage
- Clear communication skills
