Outbrain is seeking a Software Infrastructure Engineer for its Netanya office.

Would you:

like to develop and work with the hottest Open Source frameworks and tools?
like to develop infrastructure to support massive traffic load and datasets?
like to be able to push your code changes to production at any given moment?
like to help us improve our Continuous Deployment system?

If you answered 'yes' to those questions, then this job is for you!

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain application and infrastructure components
Evaluate and embed the hottest OS frameworks and tools into our codebase
Refactor and improve the maintainability of the codebase
Bridge the gap between Dev and Ops
Read @DEVOPS_BORAT daily

Qualifications

Intelligent and self-motivated
Strong problem-solving ability
Passion for code quality and improvement of the maintainability of the code base
Excellent knowledge of Java and scripting languages (python, ruby, bash)
Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating system
Strong understanding of networking and Service Oriented Architecture
Experience with databases, preferably MySQL
Proficient in Version Control Systems
Proficient with monitoring and deployment tools
B.S. or M.S. in software engineering, computer science, or related field

Desirable Abilties

Proven contributions to open source projects / tech forums (e.g. stackoverflow) / tech blogs, etc.
Experience working in a startup
Experience with agile, and continuous integration, and continuous deployment
Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies / frameworks / Principles: Spring, Hibernate, MogileFS, JMS, ZooKeeper, memcached, REST, DRY, SOLID
