The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for managing the tracking and reporting receivables, applying deposits, researching unapplied deposits, resolving billing issues, and reserving for doubtful accounts. The position manages the Collections Specialists, and reports directly into the Manager of Global Revenue.
Responsibilities
- Manage all collections and credit activities, including investigating, researching, and resolving issues or concerns pertaining to customer accounts. Address and respond to customer inquiries, providing a high level of customer service.
- Monitor/analyze delinquent accounts, assess probability of collection and ensure appropriate reserve for doubtful accounts.
- Recommend resolutions to improve credit quality and cash flow.
- Monitor unapplied cash, assisting staff with resolving unapplied cash issues and supervising the process.
- Prepare weekly collection status report and review with management.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable files and aging reports, and review with management on a monthly basis.
- Establish & maintain complete files for customers, including updated contact information, record of collections efforts, payment history and all correspondence.
- Assist in evaluating, creating and implementing changes to improve departmental policies, procedures and controls to systems and processes.
- Responsible for supervising and mentoring Collections staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business-related field.
- 5+ years of Accounts Receivable management experience, with leadership experience.
- Proficient with Excel with a strong systems background (NetSuite preferred).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and external parties.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle changing circumstances and reprioritize when necessary.
- Experience working with multiple currencies at plus.
