OK, it's way past time for me to start using the Eclipse IDE (this would be for Javascript and python, with a bit of Processing and Perl mixed in). My question is, what's a good book to pick up to get me up to speed? Obviously O'Reilly has an Eclipse book, but it's seven years old and I'm thinking it might be a bit out of date by now?

The book, though out of date, is a good starting point for using common features of Eclipse. Setting up your environment, navigating the IDE, etc. I would look at the book and supplement it with online tutorials specifically for your areas of interest. I would look for topics like Javascript & Eclipse, Perl & Eclipse, Python & Eclipse.
