I use the .epub format for all my books. That way I can carry them on either my iPhone on my G1 droid with me. I much rather a epub over the other formats but my second choice is pdf. full answer >

on a tangent, I recommend ReaddleDocs for PDF/Doc reading, and iChm for chm ebooks. Also if you're in the market, 'Business Card Reader' is great. full answer >
