ron is now known as "ronn"
ron -- the opposite of roff -- is now known as "ronn". The project now lives at:
https://github.com/rtomayko/ronn
This repository will NOT be kept up to date but will remain here to avoid link rot.

This is unfortunate.
Shortly after the initial release of ron -- the opposite of roff --, I was approached by coatl about a name collision with his Ruby Object Notation (Ron) project, whose gem is published under the name "Ron" (case, see).
He laid out an argument that people meaning to install the Ron (Ruby Object Notation) gem might accidentally install the ron -- the opposite of roff -- gem and people meaning to install the ron -- the opposite of roff -- gem might accidentally install the Ron (Ruby Object Notation) gem. This would undoubtedly lead to some confusion and may even result in serious bodily injury. And, seeing as how the Ron (Ruby Object Notation) gem was there before the ron -- the opposite of roff -- gem, I should pick a different name.
I argued half-heartedly that my ron was superiorly named, that it was much too clever to give up to a mindless acronym. When that didn't work, I threatened violence, a technique that's worked well for me in the past when dealing with name collisions.
Weeks were spent at the bottom of a bottle, but each time I regained conciousness, the Ruby Object Notation project lived on.
ARR OHH ENN. ARR OHH ENN. ARR OHH ENN., it said.
There was no way around it. I had to accept the reality of the situation or risk putting my good mental health in jeopardy, not to mention serious damage to my liver.
I caved.
True story.
Ownership of the "ron" gem will be handed over to the Ruby Object Notation (Ron) project in the not-too-distant future.
