Rhomobile Siebel Demonstration
Introduction:
- Welcome to the Rhomobile Siebel Demonstration
Prerequisites:
- Ruby on Rails 2.2
- SQLite Version 3 (https://sqlite.org/download.html)
- Ruby gem sqlite3-ruby
Setup Free Trial Siebel Account:
- https://crmondemand.oracle.com/en/crm-free-trials/index.htm
- Register then wait for 3 e-mails (A multi-hour delay)
- Login to check connectivity
- Note your URL. Something like: https://secure-ausomxabc.crmondemand.com
- You will be forced to change your password
- Note your login and password (example: HOMER/HOMER@HOMERSIMPSON.COM , MargeBlueHair)
- Call 1-866-853-8521
- Ask for “Web Services Integration”
- Verify you have “Web Services Integration” via Admin link in upper right hand corner.
- “Web Services Integration” will appear below “Data Management Tools”
- Obtaining “Web Services Integration” may require several calls; be persistent.
Installation:
- Install Rhosync
- Inspect the Server directory beneath this Readme file
- All the files in the Server directory constitute the “source adapter”
- Copy all files in the Server directory to the lib directory of Rhosync
- Start Rhosync
- Enter source adapter information into Rhosync database
- Enter user credentials for the Siebel Account into Rhosync
Support:
- The Rhomobile Siebel Demonstration is not supported software.
