RSS
"RSS" is short for "Really Simple Syndication," although some folks prefer "Rich Site Summary." RSS feeds are simple files that gather Web content from specific sites (blogs, newspapers, magazines, etc.) and then make that content available as free subscriptions. These subscriptions are managed by users through software applications known as readers. When new material is published, RSS readers automatically display headlines, links and other Web content. Many content publishers use RSS feeds to keep customers and consumers up to date on new material. For consumers, RSS offers a centralized way to stay abreast of news, updates and analysis from their favorite publishers and content sources
