Windows 2000 Administration in a Nutshell Review, October 21 2003
I am the Systems Administrator for a small, private college and I keep this book on my desk at all times. I have found it to be extremely readable and especially useful. It kicked the socks off the $70.00 Microsoft Windows 2000 Administration book I bought at the same time.
Windows 2000 Administration in a Nutshell Review, February 02 2002
just received a copy. finding the sections on Utilities and Commands very useful. i was trying (by using help and trial-and-error) to develop a set of commands that i could use remotely. this is much easier - although it would be even more useful for this web page to supply a quick summary sheet,

This book must not be for me. I've been waiting for ANY bookstore (and I've checked at least ten) to get this book in stock. Was suppose to come out in December, then January, then February. Microsoft will be releasing a new operating system (maybe 2001) before I find this book. I give up!!!!!!!
Media reviews "If you're going to Windows 2000 I strongly recommend two O'Reilly books. 'Windows 2000 Pro--The Missing Manual' by Sharon Crawford, and 'Windows 2000 Administration in a Nutshell' by Mitch Tulloch. If you need help these don't supply, you probably need a guru. "

Anyone who installs Windows 2000, creates a user, or adds a printer is a 2000 system administrator. This book covers all the important day-to-day administrative tasks, and includes the tools for performing each task in an alphabetical reference for easy look-up. What's the same and what's different between Windows 2000 and Windows NT? Has the GUI or the networking architecture changed, and if so, how? This book will help you bridge the gap between Windows NT and Windows 2000.
