I2C Interface allows for simple LCD connectivity
The "I2C LCD Interface" lets you connect up an LCD display to a microcontroller (in this case they are using a FreeDuino - the open-source version of the popular Arduino controller) with only two wires. Check out the link below for the details on this setup in order to get your project displaying text in no time.
