OSCON 2006: Opening Innovation

In the decade since the first O'Reilly Perl Conference, OSCON has been a place for the open source community to gather together and gain momentum. It's also become a place for proprietary software companies to understand what open source has to offer. This year, we're examining how being open influences and informs business, filling in the knowledge gap about what's possible with open source—and how to get it done. Through hundreds of sessions, tutorials, activities, and events, this year's OSCON is dedicated to extending the dialogue between the creative open source community and the "traditional" software development industry.

New to OSCON this year is the O'Reilly Radar: The Executive Briefing. Tim O'Reilly and Matt Asay will give a limited number of attendees an exclusive opportunity to hear from and meet with innovators, entrepreneurs, and companies that are currently on the O'Reilly Radar. It's a backstage look at the up and coming companies that we believe will have the biggest impact on the world of open source in the year to come.
