NuFile 2.0: No more banging your head against huge dialog boxes.
It has been reported that version 2.0 doesn't work with 10.3. If you use 10.3.x or former version please use version 1.8 instead

NuFile(pronounced new-file (Nu is a greek letter)) is a contextual menu plugin. It adds a new file menu when you right click at a folder(ie: desktop or Finder background); just like what you can do in Windows. With this menu, you can create an empty file of your favourite type with just two clicks("it's just one click if you hold the button down ;)"--Endian). It's a time saver especially if you have a two-button mouse (ex: Apple's sleeky mighty mouse) or if you use RazzFazz's iScroll2. If you like this program, and want to see its improvement please consider making a donation.
This program was originated when I got bored waiting for a simulation(10 computers in pararell => 12 hours) to finished.
Drag and Drop your own templates at the preference pane to add you custom template.
Open the file right after the creation(on by default. turn it off at the preference pane). And the program that will be used to open the new file is the same as the default program of the original template.
Bug Fix/Feature: Now the created file retains all file type and creator code of the original template. So do all the resource forks. That is whatever setting your have on the original template file (ex: default program to open that file or hide extension attribute) will get copied to the new file. (Requested by chleuasme and caught by Dan Frakes )
Bug Fix: The author name of the default Microsoft Office documents is now blank.(Thanks Anon for his suggestions)
Feature: Add an edit button. So that users can edit their template directly from the preference pane.(Requested by chleuasme)
The installer privilleges fixed(Feb 18 2005). If you have downloaded 1.8 already, just go to disk utility and fix the permission. (Thanks nuffsad=)
Feature: Add Drag and Drop in the preference. So, now it's much easier add a template. Just drag from Finder and drop it in the table.
Feature: RTF is now in the default setting. If have older version and you want to use the new default setting you have to issue the following command at the terminal(without quotes and note that it's case-sensitive): 'default delete com.tee.NuFile'. All your preferences will be reset to the new Default.(As requested by Pete and an anonymous guest)
Feature: Open file after creation. It's on by default. Turn it off at the preference pane.(As requested by Pete)
Feature: Installer no longer requires log off. It'll restart Finder though.(As requested by Garoo)
Please make a donation to get the secret of NuFile (aka. easter egg) :)

New TEX File with the template I use for taking notes. If you are a math major, you probably find this template super useful.
Only tested under 10.4.4. But, it should work fine under any OSX. Please tell me if you are using a different version of OS X and it works.
Uninstall
Just remove NuFile.plugin in /Library/Contextual Menu Items and NuFile.prefpane in /Library/PreferencePanes(Thanks Clay Cheever for bugging me to update this)
