FAQ
- When will Lightroom 2.0 be available?
- Adobe does not preannounce products. However, the team is working on the next version and we’ll be sure to keep you updated. One thing we can say, however, is that we plan to continue with a more aggressive release schedule than we’ve seen from Apple, which took over two years between release of Aperture 1.0 and 2.0. This is still a new product category, and we believe it’s important to respond quickly to evolving customer needs.
- Who can participate in the beta program?
- Any Lightroom 1.0 customer can download and install the Lightroom 2.0 beta for the duration of the program. Those who are invited through the tell-a-friend program will be able to use Lightroom 2.0 beta through the end of the beta period. The general public can also download the beta as a 30-day trial.
- When will the beta expire?
- The beta will expire on August 31, 2008.
- Will the feedback that customers provide be incorporated into the full version of the software?
- The Lightroom team is always incorporating feedback from customers into each product update. This is a shorter beta cycle relative to the Lightroom 1.0 beta program so we are seeking targeted feedback on the features provided.
