JavaOne 2008 is filled with exciting sessions and quite a few are on interoperability
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman";">JavaOne is just around the corner and this year
we’ll have multiple interoperability sessions that focus on various scenarios of
integrating Java .NET components. Last year I showed an AJAX with .NET REST
style WS demo using NetBeans jMaki plugin, and this year we’ll be showing a few
Web 2.0 applications that talks to .NET and Java Web services. Come and join
us at the event to learn about different ways to achieve interoperability. Below
is a listing of different sessions including our joint Sun-Microsoft session
on “101 ways to interoperate with Java technology and .NET”</span></p><ul><li><a>Metro: Try Out Simple and Interoperable Web Services, LAB-3410LT</a></li><li><a></a><a>Interoperable Businesss Web Services Using Project Metro and .NET 3.5, TS-6128</a></li><li><a></a><a>101 Ways to Interoperate with Java™ Technology and .NET, TS-7477</a></li><li><a></a><a> </a><a>Next-Generation

Sun will demonstrate its SAP solutions at SAPPHIRE 2008
<p>
</p> <!--[endif]--><o:p>This year <a href="https://www.sapsapphire.com/usa2008/" title="SAPPHIRE">SAPPHIRE </a>and <a href="https://java.sun.com/javaone/sf/index.jsp" title="JavaOne">JavaOne </a>happen the week of May
5th, so if you’re attending both, you’ll have to book your travel
accordingly as SAPPHIRE is in Orlando and JavaOne in San Francisco. At SAPPHIRE
Sun will be demo'ing numerous technologies and innovative solutions including
Sun SPOTs. In the demo we’ll be showing on the pavilion floor, we’ll have a Sun
SPOT that is used as a temperature sensor as part of the SAP developed
manufacturing device. It helps to prevent failure of the device and is
programmed, of course using Java, to communicate any relevant information such
as defect of the manufacturing device to the operator. At Sun booth, we’ll be
also discussing Sun’s virtualization solutions for SAP among others. Come and
see us at SAPPHIRE, we’ll have a magician performing on the stage that always
has new tricks to share with the audience.<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman";"></span></o:p><p><br /> </p>

SAP virtualizaton week 2008 is a great event for partners and Sun was participating in this year event.
<p>During the week of April 7th, SAP hosted a virtualization week that was a significant event for the SAP virtualization partner community. Sun was an active member of the event and I had a chance to present on our virtualization strategy. The presentation was accompanied with a customer portion of the presentation that discussed great benefits and cost savings around deploying SAP in Solaris containers. The event took place at the SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) with quite a few partners and customers attending the sessions throughout the week. This is the second year SAP is organizing this event. During this year event SAP has launched the <a title="SAP Enterprise Virtualization Community" href="https://www.sap.com/about/press/press.epx?PressID=9298">SAP Enterprise Virtualization community</a>, with Sun being a proud member of the community. </p>
