Great set of books, October 15 2004

An outstanding collection of books. I refer to these things every day. They would be a bargain at three times the price. Best of all, the format of the CD content is quite open and easy to use, not at all proprietary. I have used the books (and the indexing / search functions) on a variety of UNIX and Windows platforms with excellent results.
Excellent UNIX SVR4 ReferenceTool, June 23 2004

This Unix "all-in-one" CD-ROM package includes 7 best selling O'Reilly books about Unix operating system mainly based on System V Release 4 (SVR4) version. Complete books plus a hard copy of "Unix in a Nutshell, 3rd Edition" as a bonus. A search engine let you find what you need either in one of the 7 books or across all of them. For an operating system administrator, the "Unix CD Bookshelf" is a great tool. As an analyst-programmer, I would have prefer to have a "shell script" reference and developper's guide included in the package. The search engine could also be a bit more complete and intuitive.

"All these books are packaged in a CD version that seamlessly intergrates Unix knowledge for the beginner to the advanced user. This is a true Unix library."
--Mary Norbury-Glaser, North Coast Mac Users Group, May 2003
"When you're in the actual process of designing a web site, you frequently need to refer to this book or that book for the perfect syntax on something. That's where 'Webmaster in a Nutshell: A Desktop Quick Reference' becomes priceless. Instead of searching for this book and that book constantly, you simply reach for the one that has earned a spot on top of your desk. This book is truly a Quick Reference for the programming languages a Webmaster user."
--Diana F. Arsenault, Charlotte County Computer Group Corp., April 2003
