Advocate with us!
If you care about digital privacy and live in Massachusetts, especially in or near our core communities of Cambridge, Somerville and Boston, we’d love your help.
We’re always looking for volunteers to go to city council and community meetings; flyer communities affected by proposed surveillance measures; call representatives to oppose or advocate for proposals; or provide administrative support.
To request to join our Signal chat, go here. You should expect somebody to reach out shortly for an intake call. If you live in our core communities, there are also Signal chats specific to each. If you’d like to get involved with federal advocacy, go here.
We generally accept volunteers who:
- Hold peaceful political beliefs compatible with the U. S. Constitution (for example, no Nazis and no revolutionary communists), and are willing to organize with people whose peaceful political beliefs differ from their own.
- Are not currently employed by a police department or one of the 18 federal intelligence agencies, or as a confidential informant for any of these.
- Are interested in the problem of government surveillance for reasons other than undiagnosed or untreated mental illness.
